This former Kmart store has been converted to Sears Essentials. What I'm wondering is how exactly they turn any profits here. There are never any customers (it's like a ghost town), and usually there's about one employee for every shopper. Most of the clothes are heavily marked down- they aren't that great in quality or style, and the store is boring. The cash registers aren't busy, and the parking lot is empty. The prices aren't exciting. Wal-Mart offers better values- and they're just across Route 70! (While this store struggles, Wal-Mart is like a zoo every day. Always.) In addition, this store is dark; it has a dated feel inside even though it was remodeled.
Last but not least, this store doesn't even offer a good selection of "essentials," so even if you want to buy everything here, you have to go somewhere else a lot of times. It's really just a Sears with a recreation of a Walgreens tacked on. The only difference is that there aren't any customers and it's in the Tri Towne Plaza, a strip mall. This store doesn't thrill me whatsoever.
