SEARS, a name you can trust right? Not in this case.... We took our car into Sears Auto center to have our front brake pads replaced on our 2004 car. The price for this service should be around $90 to $110 depending on where you go. We arrived and there was one car in the one of the 6 to 8 bays, this should have been my first clue to keep going, but we decided to go in and get service. So I go in and ask the people for a quote and the first price they give me was $215.00. I told them they are crazy and after speaking with them for a few minutes they said they would do the job for $80.00. So my wife and I walked over to the mall to burn some time (not a good idea on my part taking wife to shop while waiting on car repairs as this idea was expensive too, lol). Long story short, 4 1/2 hours later they have the job complete and I walk into pay. The man tells me it will be $175.00 (Replace pads, turn rotors). I till him that's not what we agreed upon. He tells me that he is sorry but that's the price. (Pads $70.00, Labor $70.00, Add fluid $35.00, inspection $15.00 - but he said they waved the inspection!) I paid them around $110.00 even though that's not what they said because my wife was upset that we had been there so long.
Pros: Good location
Cons: High prices, long wait, lied to about quote and final price
