Best

I love Sears. I have been bringing my car to this place for the life of my vehicle (almost 10 years). They have always been very curious and helpful.

Scam? 5/11/2011

I agree with the other reviewers here. The staff is friendly enough, the place is very clean, but every time I've used them I've had to wait for at least 2 hours and the price is always through the roof. Brake repairs - had to be redone twice during 1 year warranty (actually needed it again because they were starting to grind, but decided to go elsewhere); Tires - expensive as heck! They always have these 4 for 3 deals, but surprisingly, they are never in stock! Oil change - not sure if they actually did it - check engine light came on shortly after having it done and opted to go somewhere else to have it checked. Result - used wrong oil. So, after giving them many chances, (yes, too many), I will never use them again. It's a shame because they are so convenient. Bottom line, felt like I was being scammed. more

Do Not Use This Place!!! 4/16/2011

I've used this place several times before because the options in Douglasville are somewhat limited, If you're getting tires they are somewhat pricey and the wait is always extremely long no matter what youre having done. BUT UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES USE THIS PLACE TO ACTUALLY DO AUTOMOTIVE WORK OTHER THAN A SET OF TIRES!!! I had the brakes changed (rear) on my wifes car and 2 weeks later the brakes went out and she barely made it home alive. I inspected the car and both rear brake cylinders were leaking fluid, it was all over the rear tires and the cars mastercylinder was empty. It turned out that the technician had improperly installed the rear shoes and the cylinders had ruptured. I did call the Manager and Sears paid to have the car towed back to their shop and they rebuilt both cylinders on the car at no charge, but only because I told them in advance that I wasnt paying and that I would sue them for reckless endangerment of my wifes life due to their failure to properly do the job. This brake job is supposed to come with a 1 year warranty, but they initally wanted to charge me $180 to re-do the job that they did incorrectly in the first place. I also advise that you NEVER use Firestone, which is around the corner, as they are a bunch of scam artists and thieves, but that is a story for another time I suppose. more

Think twice before coming here.... 2/8/2011

This is the WORST unorganized nausiating automotive repair facility I have ever seen. you will need to plan a whole day there just to get a simple oil change. What makes it even worse, if your not spending $400.00 or better, you will have to wait & wait & wait... Repair orders are not picked up in order, but by the money spent. This happend to me everytime I went there. NEVER AGAIN ! My check engine light even came on 7 minutes after leaving, which has NEVER ever came on before since I bought the car. Send your enemies here for crucial payback... more

AVOID UNLESS YOU HAVE ALL DAY TO WASTE! 12/2/2010

We dropped my car off for a tire change the guy quoted us 1-2 hours so we walked around the mall for 2 hours & when we came back it hadn`t even been moved. 2 hours for a tire change is ridiculous & their customer service sucks!!!!! Avoid unless you have nothing better to do with your day!!! more

Run!!!!!!! 4/5/2009

Recently I decided to take my car down to Sears by the Arbor Place Mall in Douglasville for the sole reason that I used to be a former Sears employee and decided to give them a shot. Store was clean, everyone seemed friendly and professional, left my car and waited for a call on the estimates on replacing rear brakes. After hearing the astronomical price (more than double what the local competitors were offering) I declined to have them perform the repairs. The associate told me that I could come get my car so I returned to the store. After seeing me, she told me she would be right with me and disappeared into the back somewhere. I waited for about an hour before asking another associate the status of the vehicle. She went into the back to find the first associate and never came back. I walked over to see my car still in the same state I left it in and all the technicians seemed to be on break. After threatening to fill out a survey on my experience, the store manager cracked the whip to get my car back to me a.s.a.p. and tried to apologize for the damage that had been done. Never again!!!! Pros: None Cons: Overpriced, long wait more

Avoid Sears Auto Center 5/10/2008

SEARS, a name you can trust right? Not in this case.... We took our car into Sears Auto center to have our front brake pads replaced on our 2004 car. The price for this service should be around $90 to $110 depending on where you go. We arrived and there was one car in the one of the 6 to 8 bays, this should have been my first clue to keep going, but we decided to go in and get service. So I go in and ask the people for a quote and the first price they give me was $215.00. I told them they are crazy and after speaking with them for a few minutes they said they would do the job for $80.00. So my wife and I walked over to the mall to burn some time (not a good idea on my part taking wife to shop while waiting on car repairs as this idea was expensive too, lol). Long story short, 4 1/2 hours later they have the job complete and I walk into pay. The man tells me it will be $175.00 (Replace pads, turn rotors). I till him that's not what we agreed upon. He tells me that he is sorry but that's the price. (Pads $70.00, Labor $70.00, Add fluid $35.00, inspection $15.00 - but he said they waved the inspection!) I paid them around $110.00 even though that's not what they said because my wife was upset that we had been there so long. Pros: Good location Cons: High prices, long wait, lied to about quote and final price more
