This is a very clean and modern shop. It is run by a very polite couple team and one clerk along with a mechanic or two. My experience was somewhat prolonged. (6 weeks) I brought my Volvo S-80 in because the CHECK ENGINE light was on. After four visits and a multitude of different and very costly repairs, the CHECK ENGINE light was still on. After the 4th Visit, I went to another center (Volvo Dealer) who performed one repair and resolved the issue for a fraction of what I paid Scandinavian Service Incorporated. On the positive side, they ARE local, so I may use them again for minor repairs.
UPDATE: October 27, 2007 - My ""Service"" Light came on today. This is not the check engine light - but is actually the light associated with a required routine service. Scandinavian billed me for a routine service, and I suspect that they probably did perform it, but according to my Volvo Dealer, they did not bother to reset the computer. A minor annoyance in the grand scheme of things - but worth mentioning and updating. And indicates, as I said, a very understaffed facility. They should have reset the Service Monitor but either forgot or did not know how to do it.
Pros: Very Nice People. Clean facility. Convenient location.
Cons: Appears understaffed. Hard to reach during business hours - often goes to Voicemail during the day. Did not reset Service Light (either forgot or did not know how)
