Santangelo's

Santangelo is one of my favorite nice restaurants to go to. When you walk in, there is a little bar area off to the right and a very small area to wait and walk through to the main dining room. This gets very crowded and can be a pain. Always come with reservations on a busy night....otherwise you will have to wait forever. Sometimes you have to wait a while to get in even if you do have a reservation. The service is generally good. Their food is a tad on the expensive side, but always worth it. They have a wide variety of food...veal, chicken, pork, etc and pasta. Their desserts are definately the best part....especially their chocolate lava cake type dessert. The atmosphere is really nice and it is a very homey place....no pretenses or anything like that. more

Every neighborhood would be lucky to have a nice italian place like this in it. The restaurant is not really a destination restaurant, but a nice neighborhood cafe. All the food was well done, the surroundings were comfortable and looked like many of the patrons knew one another. It would be a nice place to go for dinner any night of the week or weekend. The great thing is they just don't serve the same old pizza and pasta that many neighborhood places do, they serve dishes that make you think that someone in the kitchen is thinking a bit. If you are in the neighborhood go for it ! more
