I love the Sandy animal clinic and Dr . Betz is just amazing, I simply love that woman. My kitty was doing real bad, but my car would not start, so I called her back and told her I could not make it. Dr. Betz then came all the way to my house in Canby to give her an IV and get her back on her paws!!! Truly amazing!\r \r Andrea, Canby, OR more

I have been taking my little dog tango to sandy animal clinic since 2003. Dr. Betz has an excellent staff and state of the art medical facility. Next door is her pet supply store which makes it even more convenient to buy things for my dog. The care and attention to detail is excellent!! Great people and service!\r Steve C.,Gresham,Oregon more

Called to inquire about a declaw. They said we needed to have a consutation visit. Not once did they mention a $43 fee. Nor did they tell us to bring our cat with us. We talked with the doctor about the procedure for abotu 25 minutes. We get done with the consutation and go out in the parking lot to discuss our options and they run out to tell us that we owe them $43 for the consultation. We said they never said anything about a fee. The lady said she would talk to the doctor and cal us tomorrow. Next day they call saying the fee still exists. And we have to pay it. After many phone calls with the manager. She says she will reduce the cost to $31. She called me implying that my wife and I had issues. And that there must be some miscommunication between myself and my wife. Because my wife was the one to make all the calls. Not once did the clinic tell her there would be a fee. The manager basically said that the problem was between me and my wife and she didn't want to get into the middle of that. \r I agreed to pay the $31 bill and they can have my cats records ready to go. \r Never had a problem before this. But it is the principal of saying the problem is the communication between me and my wife. And never once stating that the clinic should be held accountable for charging me without saying. \r They wanted to charge me $495 for a cat declaw. Halsey clinic will do it for $235. So basically Sandy clinic has been over charging me for years. Well they lost a good customer over $31 that they should have wrote off. I will never go back there again. I am local and love to support my local community and businesses. I buy local even if I do get charged more. it isn't about the money here. it is about the clinics manager saying it is all because me and my wife don't communicate. She crossed the line and lost a good customer for life. more

Excellent Place!!!\r It is too bad that most people only give reviews if they are upset about something. Most people who are pleased with a service never take the time to write a review. So since I had a recent wonderful experience and always have when I went in, I decided it was time to tell my story.\r \r While I was out of town My Black Lab stayed at a friend's house and apparently got into a fight with their dog. Baxter was torn up pretty bad as it was apparent he lost the fight. They rushed him in to sandy Animal clinic to get stitched up. They were very busy that day but they knew he needed surgery right away as he was bleeding all over the place. Sandy Animal Clinic contacted me in Mexico to assure me he made it thru the surgery and was doing well.\r \r When I got home Baxter was healing up nicely. I am so glad my friend took Baxter to my vet, someone who I trust dearly. I knew he was in good hands while I was away and I have confidence in the doctors and staff at sandy animal clinic.\r \r \r more

Warning, do not take your beloved pet to this clinic if they need anything more than a simple vaccination. They can not handle it. We took our dog there after he had a major seizure. After waiting a long time in the exam room and listening to the staff socialize in the back, we went out and asked for help. We were told they did not consider this to be urgent. Things started going from bad to worse and finally a tech came in. Eventually a vet came in. We were told he would be taken in the back and treated and that we should come to pick him up by 4:30 p.m. She assured us she would call if there were any problems. We called in the afternoon to see how he was doing. They basically told us that he was not doing well and that we needed to take him somewhere else. We rushed over only to discover that he had been having major seizures all day and that they were clueless. The staff showed zero concern or compassion. They could not have cared less. We got him to an emergency hospital on 82nd street. They were amazing there. They saw us immediately and started treatment. They had him diagnosed in 10 minutes. At this point, Sandy animal clinic called us on our cell phone to tell us the 2nd clinic would not be getting the results of the blood work they had done because the Sandy animal clinic had ""lost it"". Sadly, it was too late for our dog. After the lack of diagnosis and treatment all day at the Sandy animal clinic he had to be euthanized. Our devastation was beyond belief. We have owned dogs for a total of 42 years. Never in this time have we ever seen such a lack of compassion and level of incompetence that we saw at the Sandy clinic. more

Sandy animal clinic is a really great place. I have been going here for several years. I find the veterinarians to be very knowledgeable and caring. I find the prices to be extremely reasonable and this being one of the reasons why I drive 20 miles out of my way to go to Sandy Animal Clinic. I highly recommend this place as they really do care about your pets. more

Excellent Place 7/25/2011

Wonderful Place and caring vets. I have taken all my pets here for years and I always will. My dog was very ill and had a tumor in Her abdomen. The specialist I went to on emergency told me it is most likely cancer and she will die in 1-3 months. I called Dr. Betz and consulted with her about euthanising my best friend. She weighed all my options with me and I decided to have surgery. My Goldie made it thru the surgery and it turned out to not be cancerous at all, it was benign. I am so greatfull to Dr. Betz and all her staff. Goldie is still alive and doing well 6 years later more
