These guys are flat out crooks! We put a Gecko on hold for our eight year olds birthday and then found out the grandparents had bought one, when I called back to ask them to put deposit back on the card I was told that the manager had stepped out for a minute and would call me back. This run around has continued for 12 more calls, I would never again do business with a store willing to lose a customer over $20.00 bucks!\r more

DONT BUY FISH FROM THIS PLACE 6/12/2011

I would give it zero stars if I could! So I bought a black and white clown fish, which was way overpriced, but these days theyre hard to find, so I bought it. Well I get it home into my QT and the 2nd day it started to get the symtoms of brook or clown fish disease, I mean the 2nd say, what the f***. Not even enough time to treat it because by the middle of the 2nd day, the fish was so far gone that even treatment wouldnt help it. It did die the 2nd night. Seriously?! What a joke of a store! Please don't waste your money! more

I have both pros and cons to say about Sanbar. I am a regular customer and as much as i love the place, i feel as though i can only count on it for certain items. For example i would go to sanbar to buy fish or even a lizard but i would not be able to find all of the supplies i need there such as cages,lamps,tanks,and certian food supplies.(they do have these things but only a very small selection) Although they do have some things at reasonable prices i would rather go to petco and get all of the supplies for a better deal. I have nothing bad at all to say about customer service! Anytime i have a question the staff is there with tonss of information. they are all very knowledgeable and i like that about the store. more

Awesome store 7/27/2009

I have been going to Sanbar for years and the customer service there is second to none. The owner Mike is incredibly knowledgeable about everything in his store. Especially about fish and live reef. They may not always have the lowest price on everything but the service is worth the little bit extra. And ALL of their pets are top notch. NO PUPPY MILL PUPPIES!! sold at this store. It's a small mom and pop type store so the quality of everything they have there is great. Pros: The service is awesome,great products and pets Cons: none really. more

Great Great Store 4/19/2009

This store has the best price in fish hands down. The people who work here price the fish cheap and know it. They also have other assortment of products, so they aren't just a fish store. They are limited on pets though, but it is a small store and you don't want to cram in tons of animals just for selling purposes. One thing I would like to stress is that Supermoto sounds like a noob to the hobby of fishkeeping! Just read my comment about him! Go here and you might be surprised! Pros: Healthy Fish that don't die Cons: products are limited to only a couple on shelf more

San Bar Pets 1/1/2008

This place has incredible deals with service to match it. I found a 37gallon fishtank there that was priced at a hundred dollars more at Petsmart. The fish selection is uncomparable, but for best selection go in at 3 o'clock on Wednesdays tons of healthy beautiful fish. Coral selection is somewhat limited just because they usually carry one of each speciment, normally. Invertibrate selection is also numerous. Customer service is outstanding because not only will they help you and be knowledgeable when you are looking to buy, but if you have problems with an existing pet or whatnot, they will help you with it. Pros: every possible thing you could need for a pet is there, especially fish Cons: none really more
