I just came back from Eli's Salon! What a wonderful, and welcoming atmosphere! It's the first time Ive been into the Salon, I had Yola cut, color and highlight my hair. Ive never been so pleased with the results. My hair is perfectly colored and highlighted with the most beautiful sun-kissed looking golden highlights, and the cut compliments my facial structure perfectly. I'm so happy I found her. I was recommended to her by my husband, he's been getting his haircut by Yola for about a year now. I just made an appointment for my kids, Yola is the way to go! Pros: Great atmosphere, and wonderful shampoo! Cons: Parking can be a hassle more

I found this salon on city search and gave it a try, let me tell you I was not disappointed. JOE delivered all he said he would and more. I had color done based on the recommendations I read and he was fabulous. he also gave me a great haircut and styled my hair beautifully. I went to the Salon for the first time last week. I got an appointment with JOE AWAD . At first I was nervous, trying a new place for the first time. JOE gave me the best haircut of my life. I've had so many compliments since I was in. The atmosphere is relaxed and fun. he is upbeat and talented. IT TOOK LONG TIME TO FIND JOE 6/13/2006

searched the city to find a really skilled hairstylist. I could tell you nightmares about some of the top salons. My first appoint with joe awad was a breath of fresh air. He not only truely listened to my desires but he gave his honest opinion about what would look best and what my hair type would actually do. He is Great! he also refreshed my golden hilights.thanks joe and i've never got so many compliments on my hair. see you soon more

Take me to heaven 6/12/2006

I've been to heaven and back. I was given a gift certificate for a European Facial with Golshan at Eli's Salon in Arlington, and I cannot put into words how great of an experience I had. It was by far the best gift I have ever received. She was so experienced, and took her time, and very gentle. I fell asleep right underneath her finger tips, it was pure relaxation for an hour and a half. Ever since, I now go in for a facial and microdermabrasion once a month, it is well worth it! more

NICE JOB BY JOE 6/12/2006

After reading some of the great reviews, I scheduled a haircut with JOE. I was very nervous, as for the past several years other stylists insisted on giving me the outdated Jennifer Aniston cut. However, JOE assured me that he would not take that route - instead, he suggested what would best suit my face and best of all - HE GOT IT RIGHT!!! My hair is now growing into a look I love and I owe it to JOE'S patience, skill and of course the helpful reviews. Thanks! \r \r more

Best salon anywhere! 6/12/2006

We LOVE this place! For the 17 years we've lived here, we only visit Eli's Salon - my lovely wife is lovelier and I finally got haircuts that don't make me look like a total geek, at least maybe from the hair, down, but I've now got a great haircut. I like Joe. He's cool, and does a great job. Much better than the butcher at the barber shops at Andrews. Eli's even better. My wife likes Goshen for spa stuff, and I like Bertha's manicures. Yo quiero Ana; she's the one in charge. (And the rest of the staff are eye candy with brains and skill.) There's nothing like getting your hair cut with your wife. The family that cuts together looks their best. Pros: Great location and parking. Modern, clean, well lit. Cons: If they served wine it would be heaven. more

Swept Away 6/12/2006

I was recommended to go to Eli's by my best friend Becky. She had been raving about it for years, and her hair has always looked fabulous. called in and made an appointment with Yola. I have curly hair which needed a color, and cut, I was sick of having the same hair style, it was time for a change! I went in, we discussed my hair before we began, she was very attentive and listened to what I thought was wrong with my hair. It turned out, I didn't need that much done after all! She highlighted my hair, and she gave me the best haircut I have ever received. The highlights went perfectly with my skin tone, and I've never had so many complements on my haircut! It is so easy to style and maintain in the mornings when I have to rush out the door and go to the office! I would highly recommend Yola, she is the best. more

Best Hair Salon: Joe Awad is wonderful 6/11/2006

This was my first experience at Eli's and I have to say that Joe Awad was really great, what I liked about him was that he advised you, on what would look good and what would not, he was patient and listened to what my expectations were and then suggested what would look good. I would totally go to him again because that guy knows what he's doing and knows it well!! more

I really can't express how pleased I am with my hair. Everyone keeps asking me where I've gotton it cut. I was never been able to walk out of a salon feeling entirely happy with what was done with my hair until now. Last weekend I got a terrible cut and hilights at a different salon. So I called joe after i read all the reviews. He worked carefully to blend in layers and fix the damage done at the other salon. I walked in feeling absolutely hideous, and walked out feeling great! Thank you joe more

bye bye frizzy hair 4/27/2006

i was referred to joe by a friend. i have curly frizzy hair and he just had introduce me to a new treatment called ""frizz cure"". my hair came out unbelievably awesome. the treatment got rid of my frizzies about 95 % but it kept my curls . i really love it and the haircut compliment the style.i only get compliments anywhere i go. thanks joe more

Since I moved to dc I have had trouble finding a place to get my hair done. So I read some reviews and decided to try eli's salon . I got highlights and a cut from JOE AWAD and it was wonderful. HE was so nice and gave me ideas about how to cut my hair, rather than just asking me, based on my face shape and coloring and things. I love my hair and I have never received so many complements before. more

I waited one weeks for the appointment but it was soo worth it. I just had my hair colored and highlighted with joe awad. The color he did is gorgeous!! I was afraid that since he is so highly recommended that he was going to be a snob. He was super nice and I'm completely ecstatic over my hair. The salon is good but the experience was great because of joe. sun gazette Magazine was right, he is the best colorist of northern virginia . No attitude just great color and conversation. more

i found my new hairdresser 2/22/2006

I've been going to the same hair stylist in Chicago for 11 years and was terrified to take a chance on someone else here in DC. I found JOE on Citysearch and was impressed with all the great reviews. So I made an appt and he is brilliant! It's unbelievable the miracle he performed on my hair! It's beautiful...he's incredibly talented and passionate about hair! I love him ! He's my new best friend. I trust him completely and will be back for more!! LINDA more

It was my First time At eli's saon, and it won't be my last. I had my hair colored by JOE AWAD. HE gave me the best tones of blonde highlights and touch up my roots perfectly. he was very nice and listen to what I wanted done. . I am so happy that I will be recommending all my co-workers and friends. more

I have found the promised land and my hair savior is joe - LOL! his techniques and creative genius are what keeps me coming back to see him. he has a great eye for what looks good with both hair color and hair cuts. he has a way of making the easiest style look modern and sophistiated. His color techniques are awesome as well,he knows how to be edgy without over doing it and if you want to over do it he knows how to get you there and look fabulous.I have curly hair and would definately recommend him to anyone; curly, straight, short, long, medium!!! he is simply THE BEST!!!!! more

I finally found someone who can work and manage my crazy curly hair.... My friend refered me to joe at Eli's salon in arlington, he is amazing. He did a straightening treatment on my unruly hair, my hair has never been so straight and soft.... BEST STYLIST 1/6/2006

Moving to the DC/VA/MD area has put me in the market for a new salon and a new stylist.all my hopes and dreams were answered the day I was then introduced to Joe, my stylist. I could tell right away that I was in for a treat. I was pampered, I was given the experience of a lifetime, not to mention the most amazing haircut and color and highlights ever. I highly recommend joe. more
