Salerno Import and Deli

With this cold weather, I've really been craving soup. Salerno's has awesome soups and have especially enjoyed their chowders. The wait has been a bit long my last two visits, but so far, the food has been great! more

I had lunch with my 4 year old son. I was served a cold chicken parm sandwich. I asked that it be heated and 25 minutes later it was served to me burnt and dried out. I returned the sandwich only to be told I was being rude and I should have asked for the sandwich to be served warm. For an italian restaurant, you would think that they would know that chicken parm sandwiches are always served warm. Serving bad food with slow service was only capped off with rudeness in front of my son. Pros: Nothing Cons: Bad food, rude and slow service more

Salerno's has been around for a while now and you have to figure they must be doing something right. In fact thet do a lot right. First of all they use fresh premium quality ingredients- you can taste it. I suggest ordering one of their grinders with Milite's Italian bread. You really can't go wrong with anything for lunch. Their sandwiches and soups are top-notch. They have a pretty cozy sit-down area if you'd like to eat in. I haven't tried their dinners yet but look forward to it in the future. One thing to make note of- if you're going for dinner get there before 6PM (or 8PM in the summer) because that's when they close. Also, there is convenient parking in the rear and an entrance there as well. If you haven't given Salerno's a try yet I would highly recommend it. more
