Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with this salon. Wait... ""bad experience"" doesn't truly describe the disaster of an experience I had, ""Nightmare on Elm Street"" is more like it. I normally visit a different salon, but my hairdresser was booked until the next week, and I wanted to get in sooner. I drive past Sage Salon every day as I drive to work, so I decided to give it a try. \r I have long hair, and speaking from experience, long hair can get yanked and jerked (ouch), so I called and asked about a hairdresser with experience coloring and styling long hair. The receptionist recommended a certain hairdresser, and we scheduled an appointment.\r I arrived for my appointment right on time, and ended up waiting over twenty minutes before the hairdresser came out to greet me. \r After sitting down, the first thing the ""recommended"" hairdresser did was pick up a brush and ripped it though my hair, which really hurt! At this point I was irritated, but I kept it cool. After some small talk about coloring options, she left for five minutes and returned with a strange question: She asked me how I had planned to pay, as they don't accept cards, only cash and checks. (Unbelievable.) I had only so much cash on me, so when I asked about the pricing, hoping it would be enough, she told me it would be $120.00! For a partial! Well, I didn't have $120.00 in cash or my checkbook with me, so I had no choice but to leave. \r When I made the appointment with Sage Salon, the receptionist who booked me knew that I was a new customer and made no mention of accepting only cash or checks. There was no sign in the establishment communicating this, and when I arrived for my appointment, I shared that it was my first time visiting. They never clarified their limited payment options prior to me sitting in the salon chair. With the near-30 minutes WAITING for my appointment, surely they could have discussed the payment options with me then? WTF. \r I felt very disappointed for wasting my time, and left feeling awful. Thankfully I felt better an hour later after ending up at another salon, where I received a fantastic partial for $50.00. As a native, I've been to a lot of salons in this town, and Sage Salon is absolutely the worst. Visiting Sage Salon was a hot mess and a complete disaster, and I'd like the 45 minutes of my life back. more
