When you walk in the door, one of the many newspaper clippings hanging on the wall declares that Ruby Fruit is a "favorite lesbian hotspot" – and while that certainly seems to be the case, the clientele in Ruby Fruit is as varied as the population of Manhattan itself. Singles, couples, and whole families could be seen there when last I went, though at night you'd better be ready to party before you set foot inside. It's also a great place to go for Sunday brunch, if you're looking for a quaint, quirky little place to grab a cheap (and pretty tasty) bite to eat.
