Roseville 4 Theater

I've been employed at Roseville 4 for 15 years. It was my second home all through high school and college and Barb Guetschoff a second mother.I am very sad to see it go and am having a hard time believing that I will not have my "cheap" entertainment (because, let's face it, nothing these days is this inexpensive) or talking to Barb about anything. As much as people complain about the cleanliness of the theater it truely was the most entertaining and fun place I have ever worked. There really is never a dull moment and I have made some exceptional friends along the way. Roseville 4 will be greatly missed by everyone who appreciated it for its "eccentric" setting! AND, the best boss I have ever had! Thanks Roseville 4 for keeping me and so many others entertained! more

This is the only theater I will consider going to. Forget paying $8 or $9 per ticket, I simply can't justify that when I have the option of paying only a dollar or two. For $10 total, my husband and I can enjoy a movie, popcorn and a drink---truly a great bargain. Many people complain that the place isn't the cleanest and I'll admit I agree (like, the seats could be reupholstered), but I don't go to the Roseville 4 looking for a fancy time. I go because I grew up going there, because it's a great cheap date, and because I want to support it. more

If you're looking for a cheap movie, head to the blockbuster just down the strip mall--the Roseville Four theater should not be patronized by anyone with a sense of touch or smell. You will first notice the horrible smell when you walk in--believe me, it does not get any better the deeper you go into the place. The individual theaters aren't any better. I can guarantee that your shoes will stick to the floor, and your chair will probably be broken. If you move one down from the broken one, it will probably have some sort of junk spilled on it. Save your money, this place is certainly not worth the price of your cleanliness and dignity! more

They call them cheap theaters for a reason, they are cheap. The carpet is faded and torn, seats are broken, and the floor is sticky, sticky, sticky. Probably a good idea that theaters are dark. However, seeing a movie on the big screen is great fun, and for $2, kind of a treat. They do have $1 night on Tuesdays, but for the extra dollar, not dealing with the increase in people is worth it to go on any other night BUT Tuesday. Parking can be a bit of a challenge on weekends. Overall, still a fun place to go if you don't care about the environment in which you see movies. more

My favorite thing these guys did for decor was to cut faces out of movie posters and then glue them up on the walls. It looked really great if that is your thing. Apparently it wasn't up to everyone's tastes because a bunch of the faces were torn off fairly soon, leaving torn glue and paper on the wall. I have gone back despite the sticky shoes because of the cheap movies. Stay away from the first theater of the four because the speakers blew and they never replaced them. I asked once and they said "what do you want for 2 dollars?" I guess they have a point... Just don't touch the seat backs with your head, and for God's sake if the lights come up DO NOT LOOK around, it is revolting in the daylight. more

I'd recommend not going to this cheap seat theater. Seriously, if you want to go to a movie, go to a place that shows the new stuff, they will be able to afford to clean the place. It's always nice to be able to walk around without fear of your shoe getting stuck to the floor for all eternity. It's way more expensive but you'll be glad you spent it after the night is over. more

it is cheaper for two people to go to a movie here than renting at your local rental joint, but you'll pay for it in strange smells, obstructed views of the screen (pop stains), and mystery materials on your seat. One time at the end of a movie the lights came on and my companion and I made audible gasps of horror at what on the seat we had so recently placed our clean pants. However, get out your grunge attire, bring some smelling salts and put your sunglasses on at the first sign of light and it's a pleasantly cheap date! more

The Roseville Four theater is certainly inexpensive. But you get what you pay for. While only a couple of bucks for a recent movie, the floors are sticky, the chairs are dirty, and the smell is not so fresh. However, with movie ticket prices what they are, two dollars is quite a deal. more

For a 99 cent movie ticket for any movie on Tuesday Roseville 4 is the theater to go to. THe movies are always relatively new and pop corn and snacks a cheaper as well. Of course theres a bad part. THe theaters quite small: 4-5 screens. ALso the chairs a really old and some are pretty dirty. But for 99 cents I'm sure no one would care about these minor things more
