New York's Best Service 9/18/2010

I live in California and decided to check Rosangela Spa while in NY. I travel a lot and I?ve been to many Spas. I absolutely love this place! Rosangela is the cutest little lady I?ve ever seen! But that?s not the only reason why I like the place. I actually see the other estheticians when I come in for my appointment and they are very professional. Not only that, they are nice and take the necessary time to treat me. Many Spas are concerned with the speed of the treatment; not at Rosangela?s. My Brazilian took about 30min, but the esthetician was clean and made sure the hair was all out. Five stars for Rosangela Spa! more

Painless brazilian :) 5/11/2010

Its either hard wax or the way they do it, that makes brazilian pain free! Girls also made me preety conftible in that awkward situation. Once u go there dont look anymore, dont make same mistake i did( i went somewhere close my home), which i regret-it was a torture. more

I personally have come to believe Rosangela is a miracle worker. I went in recently to get my eyebrows shaped, get a lip wax and a facial. It was my first time going...and i've raved to friends about my experience there. I'm DEFINITELY going back again. I walked in and was immediately and warmly greeted by the receptionist. I was offered a glass of wine and got to meet Rosangela. My eyebrow shaping was utterly painless. I didn't feel any pain whatsoever and Rosangela is a DOLL. She was meticulous in getting each and every stray hair. When i got to see the results, i wanted to hug her...i was incredibly pleased!! The waxing was also utterly painless! She is so meticulous and never let me be in pain one single time. The facialist I had, Germana, was incredible. This was the first time i had a facial where the extractions were not painful!! The entire facial was so relaxing...i can't wait to go back again for another one! I highly recommend this place...I know i'm going to be a very loyal customer Pros: amazing service, amazing results more

NO MORE HAIR AND A REAL TAN! 7/3/2009

I've been going to Rosangela Spa for more than a year and I decided to try their laser hair removal. I just had my fourth session and my under arm hair is nearly gone! It's great because I have a very sensitive skin and I don't need to worry about it anymore. The specialist, Germana, did an amazing job and was very patient during the treatment. I was very scared at first but she made it painless! I also love their tan and the way it looks completely natural. It's an amazing color and people find it hard to believe when I say it's not a real tan! Great color, even and it lasts for about a week. I'm really addicted to it! Hidden Gem! 6/27/2008

From the moment you walk in, the staff at Rosangela takes your stress away. The entire staff is friendly, courteous, diligent and professional. They make even the most potentially awkward and painful of services easy. I have been with Rosangela as a waxing client for over 2 years; however, I recently made the leap to laser and I love it. I noticed results after the third treatment and the hair continues to diminish each time I go. Ingrowns are no more! The pain is minimal and Roseangela can adjust if you feel any discomfort. She is fantastic; incredibly detail-oriented and customer service minded, she can tell when my day has been hectic and offers me a cup of tea or water to help ease my way in the door. I have tried everything from laser and eyebrow shaping to tanning, massage and mani/pedi and I have never been disappointed! Rosangela Skin Care & Spa is truly a hidden gem, setting itself apart from the impersonal big name spots. Pros: Ambience, Customer Service and Expertise Cons: Not open on Sunday more

Finally a mani and pedi that lasts! And the best wax of my life! 1/10/2008

I found Rosangela on citysearch and now I am so glad I tried it! First I had a Brazilian wax. Lisa was wonderful and was so thorough and relaxing. Never had I wanted to sleep while being waxed. After my Brazilian and arm wax I felt revived as if I just stepped out of a facial or massage! Pros: best brazilian I ever had! more

TRY THE LASER HAIR REMOVAL!!!! 12/23/2007

I was a religious brazilian bikini waxer for years (by the way Roseangela is phenomenal at Brazilian bikini waxing); however I love the laser hair removal. I just finished my third treatment and I am so pleased with the results. I noticed results after the first treatment and the hair disappears more and more with each time I go. Pain factor? minimal and Roseangela will adjust the machine setting if you are feeling any discomfort. Don't be scared by the sunglasses you have to wear during the treatment,,it's just a safety precaution. Pros: relaxing ambiance, friendly staff, awesome products more

Best eyebrow shaping 11/21/2007

Going to Rosangela for eyebrows feels like as much of a treat as a massage. Her space is cozy and inviting, and she definitely puts you at ease as she goes after your eyebrows with her super fast tweezers. No waxing - she does tweezing for the eyebrows - and she made me like my eyebrows for the first time in my life. I've tried to maintain the shape at home but I give up - I just go to her once a month or so and let her work her magic. She also stays open late so you can run over after work. I really look forward to my visits! more

The pedicure with the electric file is sublime, and the professional who does both the pedicures and manicures is friendly and professional. For a nice, spa mani/pedi (as opposed to the quickie on the workweek), head to Rosangela's! more

Best eyebrows ever! 11/8/2007

I got my eybrows done by Dina. She was super friendly and took her time, and is in the salon on Tuesday, Thursdays and Saturdays. My eyebrows have never looked so good. It was 20$ and very very worth it (she used tweezers and scissors, and a little bit of some kind of wax...I don't think they do the traditional style waxing). She shaped my eyebrows and definitely listed to what I had to say, I have never been so happy with they way they turned out! The salon is clean and quiet, the staff is very friendly and professional. I have been to so many salons trying to find a place that does a great job with eyebrows, and now I wouldn't go anywhere else but Rosangela. more

Best Brazilians in the City!! 6/26/2007

I have followed Rosangela from spa to spa until she finally opened a place for herself - she is AMAZING! I live on the UWS and it is not an easy trek for me to get to her UES location but I do it every three weeks because she really is that great! I won't say it's painless, but she makes getting a brazilian as painless as possible. Plus, she is so kind and thoughtful and makes you feel at home whenever you stop in. On a side note, I did get a massage when she first opened and it was incredible as well! Great place! Pros: Great service, Clean environment, Friendly and knowledgable staff Cons: None! :) more

best massage I ever had (and I've had alot!) 5/24/2007

As a massage therapist I have received MANY bodywork treatments. I was visiting a friend in nyc who has been a devotee to Roseangela for a few years now. I decided to check it out and a receive a massage while she had her usual body exfoliation. Without gushing too much, it was the best massage I have ever had. Karla was my therapist and her amazing treatment called upon a diverse blend of modalities. From the perfect amount of pressure to effective stretches, Karla has a true gift for bodywork. Best mani/pedis and brazilian! 4/25/2007

I love Rosangela spa! I have been going to Rosangela for years. She is a total professional and a great person. Her employees are all up to the same standard. Since she opened the spa, I have been going to Selina for my manicure and pedicure. She gives the same attention to detail and perfect service as Rosangela does with her waxing. So much better than your average nail salon and much better than other spas like Bliss that charge 3 times as much. I don't live or work in the neighborhood, but it's worth the special trip! Best service & atmosphere 4/11/2007

Rosangela is great! I'm a loyal customer & go every 3 wks. When it comes to anything remotely painful I'm a chicken, but she made my waxing experience virtually pain free and quick. The facials are great. Everyone comments on my ""glowing"" skin afterwards. She's very thorough, gentle, sweet and gives great beauty tips for the budget conscious. The place is also impeccably clean and sanitary. I send all my friends/family there & she has gift certificates too. Pros: On time, gift certificates, clean/sanitary Cons: Location if you don't live on the Eastside, but worth the trip more

Going to Rosangela's spa is one hell of an experience. You open the door to wonderful service, a great atmosphere and the nicest people. Rosangela does my facials and I can't explain how amazing they are, relaxing but yet she gets in there and you leave with your skin looking fabulous. I had a massage by Karla and seriously, the best massage I have ever had. It's not like any massage you have gotten and trust me, I have gotten a lot of massages in my day. You must try her. I have been going to Rosangela for years for my waxing and sending all my friends there as well. She is smart, sweet woman who is very professional. Her spa is clean and easy to get in an out for an appt. Her bikini wax's are painless and the best in town. Why pay more when you can get the best for less?? I have also gotten eyelash extension and next time I am going to have a mani and pedi!! more

Warm and wonderful anaesthetician 3/29/2007

I have been a client of Roseangela's for over two years now. I was initially hooked because she did such an amazing job shaping my somewhat unruly eyebrows. EVERYONE notices and compliments them or my face in general without knowing why in the weeks after I visit her. I've since benefited from her thoroughness with bikini and thigh waxing too. Rosenagela's simply a pro and very exacting--she uses wonderful products specially ordered from her native Brazil and seems to have perfected her techniques over her many years in the biz. But she's also a doll...she has such a warm personal way of connecting with her clients so that the experience is always pleasant. Now that she's opened her own place on the Upper East Side, more people can discover her great services. The space is airy and clean and the staff is extremely friendly and professional, just like the lady of the house. It seems like she's adding a terrific array of high-level services at reasonable prices. This is not your typical ""waxing place"" and yet it's affordable for many New York City women. more
