dealt with them on several occassions, and although the workmanship is adequate, they are really disorganized. it took over 5 weeks just to get a quote on the work! Then another...

NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY. I repeat, never ever use Roundout Plate & Mirror. \r I am a reasonable customer - and rarely feel the need to write a negative review. However, this was an experience that consumers need to know about.\r Owner, Deano does not offer options for shower doors and hardware before the order is placed - he is in and out - and when there is a problem - and these were mine: glass delivery delayed no explanation, further delays because glass was measured incorrectly - and when finally installed, the shower door swung both ways needing an extra pull to im-properly close - during the installation of the shower door, he cracked two new tiles without any acknowledgement or offer to repair, way too much silicon on the walls to attach the u drive - and when I questioned my options for doors without rubber/plastic, other hardware and closures -- his response -- ""you have none.""\r NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY. more

Don't use this company! They installed a glass shower surround for me and were paid in full before we discovered that the door leaks badly. The owner won't take my calls or call me back about repairing it. Oh, and the door opens the wrong way. An awful company! more

\r \r \r If you want to be insulted, this is the place for you! I bought 4 pieces of window glass at Rondout Plate and Mirror. The Guy who cut the glass (beard and ponytail) was nice. However, when I unwrapped the glass at my shop I noticed that one piece of glass had scratches on it. I brought the glass back a few days later hoping to speak to the guy who cut the glass since I misplaced my receipt. I was met by a very rude woman who right off the bat was flustered and damning the workers for not cleaning the glass to make sure there are no scratches. She then went on to ask for my paperwork. I informed her that I misplaced it but I paid with a credit card and I was sure that the guy who cut the glass would remember me since we talked for a few minuets after I bought the glass. At the very least they should have the signed credit card receipt which would show that I was there a few days ago and did in fact buy glass. At this point her attitude escalated into tirade on how ""its Not rocket science"" and that even Home Depot would ask for a receipt, (Which by the way isn't true, I return items to HD by simply handing them the Credit card that I bought the items with), and there's nothing she could do with out one. She went on basically scalding me like I was a five year old for not having any paperwork, at which point I realized that a $13 piece of glass wasn't worth having to be insulted. So, I simply told her she could keep the scratched glass and I walked out. She of coarse had to have the last word and snidely said ""I love you"" as I walked out the door. \r \r FYI, There is a glass place down the street, Kingston GlassWorks, that has excellent service and lower prices to boot. more

This is the worst most unprofessional service I have ever received from a company. The owner, Dean, never returned any of my calls when I had a question regarding the delivery of glass that was cut to a size that would not fit. When I finally reached him, only because I insisted to hold for as long as it took to get him on the phone, he was rude, unprofessional and not only unhelpful but would not return the money he charged my credit card for word that wasn't performed because the glass could not be installed since it didn't fit the opening. This is a horrible place to do business. I would recommend using Mike Sicker at Sickler Glass! Please do not EVER use this company! more

Fine work, very professional 3/22/2011

They were very helpful on the phone and in person, explained my options for the replacement glass I ordered, had the work ready when they said they would, packed it very well and even helped me carry it to my car. The piece was finished to my instructions and when I got it home, it fit perfectly. more

Stay Away! 1/10/2011

One of the worst business experiences I have had in recent history. I dropped off 2 windows. When I picked them up and got home I realized that they had given me someone else's window (one of the two). I called them immediately to tell them and left a message. They never returned the call. When I finally reached them they said they do not listen to their messages!! They never found the storm window and had to replace the whole fixture. They did not return calls. It took over a month to schedule them to come and measure. Then they never called me to tell me it was in. When they finally came to install it (after a number of calls on my part) the owner was the installer. He was surly and never once apologized for all the problems, days off of work I had to take to be at the house for the appointment, and the various other issues. I strongly recommend finding another place to work with. The whole process was over 3 months long. Do business with them at your own risk. more

Then another several weeks to wait for order, then a few more weeks to get workers to commit to a date of installation. Even when they arrived, they left without completing the job. I guess I have to wait a few more weeks to finish this review. Nice guys, but perhaps they need to hire more help, or streamline their office. more
