Not recommended. The host of the restaurant does not care about the clients, totally ignores them. Go to another Japanese place with a real Japanese hospitality.

The Best Rolls Ever!!! 5/7/2010

I have had rolls at many places in western Washington, and this is the best restaurant around for rolls!\r The selection is plentiful, the food is beautifully prepared and presented! The service is excellent! The rolls are tasty and priced reasonably. \r I patronize this restaurant for my Anniversary, my birthday, and any other day I have time to travel from Puyallup to Bellevue! \r It has always been worth the trip! Very few restaurants can boast that I have never had a disappointing meal there, this one can. That's saying a lot as I'm a very discriminating diner. \r It's always clean, always brightly lit and the food is always fresh and gorgeous. \r #52 House Special #72 Volcano the Super Dragon!\r Try them all!!!! Pros: Large freshmade selection, fair prices, excellent service! Cons: not open on Sundays, no branch in Puyallup more

Great sushi, don't expect ambience 11/6/2007

My family loves the sushi every time we go there. Very reasonable prices, large amounts of food. They have a large menu to satisfy everyone's palate. Is definitely a hole-in-the-wall type of place - don't expect wonderful service or atmosphere, but go there for the sushi!\r more

Great Sushi, Great selection, Great Service! 3/21/2007

I love the Sushi in this place. I've been going here for over 2 years now and usually go in anytime I find myself on the east side and hungry! The BSC, Red Dragon and Spicy Bulgogi rolls are my personal favorites. Service has always been excellent when I've been there and the rolls are generally prepared quickly, considering the BSC needs extra preparation time. I like the free tea too. Pros: Great choice, fresh sushi, great flavors, good service Cons: Ambience? if that's important... more

Great for last minute neighborhood sushi 3/17/2007

i was so thankful when i found this place because i was so tired of sushi land. Sushi is fresh and good. Menu is on the longer side. Free tea also. \r \r tends to get very crowded at lunch time. Pros: good sushi Cons: busy lunch time more

Menu was not dizzying 11/9/2006

""You must be shisshin' me!"" I am an inventive roll lover and I was surprised that I have never came across this place before. Tucked under a condo complex on a T-intersection across the street from Bellevue Library, sits this no frills sushi joint with a lunch spot like setting. Complementary green tea? Check. Dizzying menu? Upon first glance. Some rolls are clearly ""different"", while some were just mild variations others. I ordered the Geisha roll, Bulgogi roll, Seattle roll, Beebimbop Roll, etc. The Seattle and Geisha are safe bets, but the Bulgogi came out a little on the dry side. The Beebimbop was a pleasant surprise, but the meat could have been moister also. I guess I can't complain when most of the rolls were about 6.50. I'm used to paying 10.00 or 12.00.\r \r Final thoughts: Nowhere near Mashiko's quality, but at half the price you'll sleep easier. Another spot to quickly satisfy a sushi jones. Pros: Free green tea, street parking ease, VALUE Cons: Not the cutest place, but it's clean and bright more

Different but great Sushi! 10/23/2006

Still my favourite Sushi in the Seattle area. I order the Red Dragon and BSC every time I go there, both are excellent, and are consistently good, no matter when we have gone there. This may not be the best looking or most comfortable restaurant, but I don't go there for the decor or to relax, I go there for the food, and have not yet been disappointed.\r I've never had a problem with service either. more

Fresh fish and unique rolls 4/1/2005

I have been going to this place for about 2 years and they have not disappointed me yet. I have tried a lot of different rolls and every one of them came out excellent. My favorite there is the seared salmon. Pros: Fresh Food, Unique Rolls, Cannot Miss more

Traditional and Unique 2/17/2005

While the miso leaves a lot to be desired (tastes like instant), the sushi is wonderful. It's the 2nd best sushi restaurant I've been to outside of Japan. Even my 79 year old traditional Japanese mother loved it...and she's impossible to please. The original sauces they've added to the traditional rolls are quite tasty...and the heated rolls bring a whole new sensation to the sushi experience. However, it is different. So if you want the same old same old...go to Benihana's. If you want your food ""right now""...go to McDonalds. But if you want to combine traditional with unique and bring your tastebuds back to life...go to Rolls and Rolls Plus Sushi. Pros: delightful staff, huge menu, wonderful, fresh food Cons: Miso need improvement more

Great Food 12/2/2003

The waiter was very curteous and greets in the traditional Japanese manner of bowing. The food came a bit slow but it's because they made art out of the food. The food looked lovely when it came and it's worth the wait. The baked scallops california roll was my favorite. Now open on Saturday nights. For three orders with Miso soup cost about $21. Not badly priced. Pros: Food, Service Cons: Small Restaurant more

Not Great but Interesting 8/14/2003

If they can roll it into a sheet of seaweed, they sell it. Sure, their rolls aren't considered traditional sushi, but I like to go there for that exact reason. It's different. It seems that their Dynamite Roll is the most popular. It's a California roll, sliced and laid out flat with ""6 types of seafood"" mixture spread across the top. It is then baked for a few minutes and drizzled with teriyaki and wasabi sauces. Because it's made to order and baked, it does take a few minutes. Worth the wait. Also try their BSC roll (Baked Scallop California). Prepared in similar fashion. Pros: Friendly owners, Something different Cons: Lack of seating, Not "fast food", Limited parking more

Yummy! 3/22/2003

The sushi rolls are delicious. You can order one roll and feel full by the time you're finished. Which means, you get a lot for the money. It's not really a place to eat-in, though it is clean and bright. Better to order and take home. Pros: large rolls, Reasonable prices Cons: Take out only more

old 2/4/2003

Good location, great concept (101 fun rolls), nice effort to be friendly to customers. Unfortunately it felt like kids' playing house. The hostess and cooks (plus the owner?) were chatting the whole time I was there, and it took 20 minutes for two sushi chefs to make 3 rolls (no other order waiting). Fish was old and smelly. Bulgoki roll is great idea, they can put more sauce on it. Pros: Good location, Inexpensive Cons: Bad food, Unprofessional more

Best in Bellevue 11/27/2002

I started eating at Rolls and rolls when it opened in September. Their prices can't be beat for sure. Each time I've gone in, i've tried a different roll. Their california and sunny rolls are the best around. they have a ton of variety, and great prices. from what i gather, the sushi men have been in the business for years. this is definately my favorite place on the east side. they have a quick, easy downtown location with easy parking access too. Pros: Prices, Quantity, Service more

Sad Sushi Near Library 11/19/2002

I hoped that this new sushi place across from the Bellevue Library would provide me with an exciting new place to enjoy sushi and an occasional bubble tea at a great price. I was wrong on two of the three. The service was excellent, friendly, helpful, and patient. The decor is meant for take-out. Efficency in preparing the food was top-notch. Unfortunately the food was disappointing. The california roll had crab that was heavily mixed with mayo - a common bulker-filler. The fish mixture on top of the roll was unidentifiable. Was that krab? The key ingredient in sushi, IMHO, is the rice. The rice was not good; crunchy;old. Yikes! I felt sick after drinking the bubble tea. Too much mix? I can't recommend. Maybe there will be improvements? I sure would love to hear that it improved! Pros: Inexpensive, Friendly Service, Good lighting Cons: Disappointing Sushi, Disappointing rice, No seating more
