Today is Easter Sunday March 27, 2016, I came to Rolling Hills Memorial Park, Richmond, Ca to visit my father's grave and I couldn't find it...his grave is fully cover with grass, my father has a headstone with his name on it, he has been there since 1979-July and he is buried in Birch Lawn near the water fountain...Grass-lots of grass is covering my father's grave I couldn't find his headstone so much grass, too much grass...couldn't put down any flowers on my father's grave very poor upkeep on the my father's grave and the surrounding graves...grass , lots of grass...NO Respect for the dead none at all...I just email Rolling Hill also about this matter...I took a picture to prove my statement..But there was no ground keeper on site either...office was closed... more

Incompetency 7/26/2011

We have been trying since November, 2010 to have a cameo placed on my mother-in-law's grave site. I was told this procedure normally takes about 12 weeks--it's been 10 months and we're still getting this flimsy excuses and false promises. The first person we dealt with left the company and no one could find the paper work, the second time they lost the picture, this last time they ordered the wrong cameo. This is not an unusual request, it's done daily so why is it taking so long???? Either they have incompetent employees or they just do give a damn---in this case I think it's BOTH. My wife is so disgusted with Rolling Hills, she said she would rather be cremated and fed to the pigeons then have them deal with her remains. more

Rude staff 6/3/2011

They need new help. The people who work there are seemingly nuts. more

$$ They only care about getting your business $$ 3/11/2010

Insensitive, uncaring staff showed me to my family member's grave and stood there when I wanted to be alone. Not 30 seconds went by before the staffperson was pitching me the business. I wanted to grieve for my family member and the staff wanted me to commit to using their business - "Start making preparations now...Her's my business card..." The only real thing she cared about was getting my money. How sad. Pros: the landscape Cons: staff seems unaware of others emotions more

Insensitive 12/3/2009

I have several pre paid plots in this park-I had to use one for the burial of my infant son-while in the office completing the paperwork the representative looks at my husband and I and says "there is a balance of 70 CENTS owed - we cannot complete the contract until its paid" OMG! I could not believe it-here we were burying our infant child digging around in our pockets for 70 CENTS....CENTS, not dollars, CENTS-and the woman just sat there looking at us with such indifference it made my skin crawl. This is where all my deceased relatives are buried so I've never dealt with anyother cemetary but I would like to believe that their are others who are more sensitve and tactful in dealing with their clients. Pros: grounds maintained Cons: insensitive/unorganized more

Two thumbs way down 9/28/2009

The staff is obscenely rude for no apparent reason. The grounds are decent but in a time of mourning people should at the very least be treated with at least a bit of of respect and compassion. Pros: Location Cons: Ill mannered staff more

Serenity & Peace 10/8/2008

Rolling Hills Memorial Park catered to my best friend's family during their time of grievance. The family was able to choose a beautiful and serene area to put my best friend to rest. The staff is always great about having a whole lot of visitors coming over all at once and we never feel rushed to leave. It is so easy to get around the cemetery. Unlike other cemeteries which can seem like a maze to get around. Thank you so much, Rolling Hills, for your compassion and condolences. more
