I eventually found this salon last year after I moved to Dallas. I have seen several stylists, but I never really LOVED my hair. I have even gone back to Atlanta to have my hair done before I found Jesse & Carolynn. These 2 are mellow & friendly, and it's nice to get complementary wine. Carolynn does beautiful color & I love the way Jesse cuts my hair. Be sure to ask for them personally when you call. You won't be sorry! Pros: they always take evening appointments more

Glad I found this place 7/10/2009

I found this salon on citysearch and it exactly what I wanted. I made appoinments with Jesse and Carolyn. Very friendly and educated hairdressers that work well and timely together. This salon is a perfect combination of professionalism and low-key relaxation. The organic wine tasted amazing and my hair is just what I wanted. I've been to many 'big name' salons and I've never had anyone so thoroughly consult with me to explain exactly why I couldn't get my hair to do what I wanted and how to achieve the style I wanted. Great Looking Salon & Great hair 11/22/2008

I've been coming here for years and love this place. I never thought of writing to say how much I like it until now. I'm always interested to see what new art is on the wall and what new gift items they have. All of this is secondary to the fact that I get a great cut, great color and perms and generally have a great time. The massages I have got here are always top notch. This is a first rate, first class salon that's here for the customer. The nice thing about the products in this salon is that for the most part they are organic. As someone who is a faithful recycler, I appreciate having a possitive effect on the planet. With Rocket Science, we can stay beautiful inside and out. Always Great Color...now Great Cut! 11/4/2008

Carolynn has colored my hair for years and has always done a spectacular job. Her professionalism and knowledge are unmatched, and she really seems to care that I am happy with my look. Recently, I have had Jesse cut my hair as well and I am absolutely thrilled. The cut has maintained it's shape as it grows out, it's easy to style, and it's exactly what I wanted. Worth the Wait 9/21/2008

I just moved from Connecticut where I had to part with my beloved long-time hairdresser. I was desperately searching for a new stylist and found someone with hair like mine and got a referral to Rocket Science. I called to book an appointment with LeeAnne and it took several weeks to get in. By the time I did though, it was well worth it. I am very happy with the cut and my new highlights. The blowdry even lasted me 3 days and looked amazing. Cute stuff too! Pros: great location, nice people, clean, good music, and wine! Cons: what??? no way more

best cut and style 8/2/2008

Ask for JESSE! I have been to Rocket Science twice now - after the first time with Jesse I did have a little doubt about going back. 1st time I told him to do whatever he wanted since my hair was crying for help and he just did a few layers nothing special. This past time I decided with my wedding coming up in a few months that I should put more thought into my hair so I went back to Jesse and it was great! He was combing out my very damaged hair and it was just so dry and tangled that he ended up cutting 4" off - much needed even if I didn't want to loose all of that length so close to my wedding date but it is cut so well and healthy now I really have to look past my own hang ups. LOVE IT!!! more

Great Massage and hair! 6/11/2008

I have never felt so relaxed. Robert definitely has the touch,and I highly recommend him. This was the first time that I had a massage by a man and I felt a bit nervous,but he instantly put me at ease. LeeAnn has been my hairstylist for years and as the owner she is always adding a fresh perspective to the salon as well as my hair. I am never disappointed in the fun and refreshing atmosphere,plus her blowdry's are stellar. Pros: Comfortable,Laid-back,On-time,good parking. more

Carolynn the Color Expert 8/23/2007

I have worked in the salon industry and am very versed in technique and skill of a colorist. Carolynn's expertise is unsurpassed. She is incredibly professional and cnfident and I've never had color that lasts so long and even grows out nicely with my hair. The quality of the products is excellent too - my hair always feels healthy even right after my process. She is wonderful!! I have someone that specializes in cuts, so I prefer to go to separate technicians for both, especially because I doon't usually need both at the same time anyway. This works best for my schedule. more

Carolynn (Cat) is the best! 8/8/2007

Carolynn colored my hair and I am so happy with the result! I have blonde highlights and I have had trouble keeping the brassy redish tones out of my hair during the summer in the past. Carolynn took the time to talk with me about how much I am in the sun and made recommendations to keep the color the way I like it! I can TOTALLY tell the difference between someone who simply colors hair and someone who SPECIALIZES in hair color. She has ten years of training/experience in color! After a few weeks, the color still looks great even after being in the sun quite a bit! She is a true professional, and I would recommend her to anyone! more

Nail Tech Rhonda has recently moved here, much to my delight. She does a fabulous manicure and pedicure. No artificial nails here though. They're strictly all natual and mostly organic and don't want all that nuclear waste from artificial nails floating through the atmosphere. Do yourself an indulgence and come see Rhonda. BEST HAIRCUT EVER!!! 6/18/2007

LEEANN!!!!!!! Thank you!! This is the first time in my life that I have walked out of a salon with EXACTLY the style that I wanted!! I am so freaking excited that I have found the Rocket Science Salon. Leeann did an excellent job at LISTENING to what I was saying and executed it perfectly. I cannot say enough how pleased I am with this salon and specifically Leeann. I was offered a beverage right as I walked through the door, I waited for two minutes before being seen, EVERYONE THAT WORKED THERE ACTUALLY LOOKED LIKE THEY WERE HAVING FUN!! No more barbershops! 6/7/2007

I found this salon on Citysearch and thought I'd share my great experience.I'm typically a barbershop kind of guy,but I have started getting alot of gray hair and was looking to get something done about it.Hey,I'm not even 30 yet.I made an appointment with Cat for color and Brittany for my haircut.They both made me feel very comfortable (they even gave me a beer)and my hair has never looked this good.The color looks very natural and my cut is easy to deal with.Not only will I be back,but I'm thinking about buying some hair stuff that Britt used. more

GREAT HAIR CUT 6/4/2007

I would just like to thank Brittany for the great haircut she gave me. I was browing through City Search looking for a good salon to go to and after reading the reviews decided to try this one out. I was nervous at first, being that it was my first time there, but after meeting and going over everything with Brittany I instantly felt comfortable. She gave me exactly what I wanted. I felt like she was in my head the whole time because every time I was thinking of something that needed to be done, she did it without me even saying anything. I've already gotten compliments and have had people asking where I got my hair cut. The place is very laid-back and relaxing. I can't wait to go back for color. Brittany is the best! She has made my fine, straight hair look like it has volume. Brittany gave me a very modern and creative style. I love it. Added benefit --- Brittany gives wonderful shampoos. my new salon 4/16/2007

i loved my visit. there is a stylist for my every mood. i might try more than one. the first stylist i went to is on the wild side, but my cut fits my lifestyle, which is tame. it stays when i fix it in the morning and is an updated version of what i had. beleive me that has been had to find. i do not want to be pushed into something and she was in tune with that. i found the salon on city search and thought i would let you know the place is nice! Good hair, good atmosphere! 12/13/2006

Cat has been coloring my hair for years and I am still amazed by what a great job she does! She always finds a way to give me exactly what I want, even if I can't always articulate it! I get so many compliments on my color. Now that she is at Rocket Science Salon, the experience is even better! The salon has such an easy and comfortable feeling. The people are very nice and they use excellent products. I highly recommend letting Cat make you look beautiful! more
