Combined with the City of Binghamton and Broome County Historians offices, renamed the Family History Center and now located in the new Broome County Public Library on Court Street in Binghamton, The Historical Society, is the pre-eminent place for researching local history and genealogy. They have a large collection of newspapers on microfilm dating back into the 1800's and that combined with books, photos, maps, and copies of local and family histories provide a wealth of information not found anywhere else in Binghamton or surrounding communities. more
