Rob the Mover

Aly Daniels and his team managed a very successful moving experience for me. They were early to my apartment, managed the unexpected very quickly and effectively, were knowledgeable to deal with the different buildings' rules, etc. Everyone in the crew was nice, courteous and efficient. They all introduced themselves by name and were ready to work. My old apartment was quickly emptied, and the new one full of furniture and boxes pretty fast. more

Having had the most terrible experiences with two of the most prominent movers in new york city, i was at a loss of whom to use for our last move. i saw that Rob the Mover had such excellent yelp reviews that I decided to take a chance. I tested the company out by having them bring all the boxes from my storage unit to our old apartment. they were so helpful, friendly, efficient that the work was done quickly and safely. unlike my last two moves, not a single box was missing or damaged. they workers are young and strong and if you think that doesnt make a difference you are sadly mistaken. the work went quickly because they moved quickly from start to finish. i was satisfied so i arranged for Rob The Mover to do my big move. Aly in the office was the true example of patience and friendliness. she put up with me changing my move, the number of boxes and items that were going to be moved, at least half a dozen times if not more. could not have been more lovely about every single change i made! the move went swiftly without incident. everything was taken apart, put together, placed where i wanted it, etc., etc. every single box arrived; nothing was broken. it was absolutely the most painless move i have ever had. cannot say enough wonderful things about this company. do not get sucked into big advertising or clever names of other moving companies. and by the way, the price was beyond fair. just the cherry on the cake. thanks Rob the Mover, for making a traumatic experience so easy on me! more

Austin and Miguel were incredibly friendly and helpful and accommodating, and what could have been a horrendous move was in fact a complete non-issue. They were essentially doing two moves that afternoon (two people from separate apartments into one) and I didn't worry or stress for one minute. Everything was taken care of efficiently and the price was completely reasonable. I'd definitely recommend and I'll definitely be calling Rob the Mover for my next move. Thanks! more

I operate a furniture store and we have been in business for 5 years. We started using Rob the Mover to do deliveries for us about 2 years ago. He accommodated us by honoring the same price we had with the previous company. The previous company was always late and were not friendly. We switched to Rob and he was so excited to start doing business with us. The employees are also great! Everybody is friendly and easy to do business with. Rob has never failed us. I would not recommend the two men that moved our furniture and boxes. They were very nice, but did a very poor job of packing the one way rental truck. We had a lot of boxes that fell in the truck during our trip from NYC to NC. more

I had a large eight foot cabinet that was moved into my apartment in NYC. It was too big for the space so I needed to move it out. Did I mention I live in a fourth floor walk up and the piece was a heavy wood piece from India? Well these guys, friendly and ontime, showed up, did not complain and say it couldnt be done, they just began figuring out how they were going to do it and in no time the cabinet was down the stairs. And they are decently priced. more

The movers were on time, fast, polite and all around awesome. They put up with a few building snafoos, were flexible and speedy. I have only one complaint which is they cracked our flatscreen tv. This is partially my fault however for not asking about insurance ahead of time (they did cover the cost of damaged item). It's a great low cost mover and if you are willing to potentially have one or two things damaged, I would recommend them. To be fair, the money we saved by using uninsured movers was likely more than the cost of the TV so we still came out ahead. more

Where to begin with explaining the wonderful service of Rob the Mover? They were prompt, friendly, and conscious of what was happening. Moving is such a stressful process and these people simply turned it into an easy and pleasant experience. They were absolutely terrific. Rob even dropped by and chatted with me to put me at ease. I was very impressed by how much he kept in touch via texts and e-mail. Instead of me having to reach out to him, he kept me informed so I could go about my day without worrying about anything. The movers were very polite, clean, and quick. They helped me transfer furniture from New York City to Richmond, Virginia and there was not a single scratch on anything. They're thorough, and their customer service is excellent. They're quick to respond to email and text, and they're very good about letting me know about their arrival time. Easily the best move experience I have ever had -- the guys Rob sent were professional but laid back, super efficient but very thorough and careful, and had a great attitude! Rob was very responsive by email, understanding and flexible (I had to change the time of my appointment as we were driving a truck into NYC and hit traffic), but he was accommodating -- and the truck was unloaded in no time! I'll be recommending Rob the mover to everyone! I've had so many negative experiences -- even with accredited moving companies -- and these guys were just awesome from start to finish!! and at a great price! more

Rob the Mover moved my roommate into our apartment when another company (not worth mentioning) was finishing unloading my stuff. Having the worst moving experience of my life...it was amazing to see how quickly Rob and his team moved my roommate into our 5th floor walkup! I was sooooo amazed when she mentioned the price he gave.... Needless to say, the next year when I moved in with my boyfriend I called on Rob the Mover. He moved myself and my boyfriend, did it with a friendly attitude at a great price... As any woman would know, once you move in to a new place you have to reorganize, change and/or sell oversized or not-quite-right-for-this-place furniture...so who did I call on - Rob the Mover! He still does small furniture moves and does it with speed and efficiency! Use Rob the Mover for anything involving moving...he's DA MAN!!! more
