After an accident, Oct. 27, 2011, Roadrunner Towing showed up and towed our wrecked vehicle. Without our permission to do so, Driver took to unsecure driveway in Abilene. We followed him to the exact place and loaded up our personnal items. Our vehicle was full of gas, @40 gallons @3.29 a gallon. The tower was informed of this and we were assured he would take vehicle to a secure lot in Chapman and all will be safe. This did not happen. We went back to our vehicle the next day, and it was unlocked, with the keys in ignition and absolutely no gas left in the tank! We tried repeatedly to contact Preston Hoelsher to find out what was going on and why it had not been secured. He did not return any of our phones calls. We filed a police report, Nov. 9th, 2011, filed a gas theft report. Insurance company was made aware of ethics of this towing company. Insurance company said we could get our vehicle, so we went to pick it up. It had to be towed, and we loaded it on our trailer, then, Preston shows up blocking us in the drive with his vehicle. He jumps out demanding to know what the #@?! we were doing.Yelling we were not taking that vehicle anywhere until he got paid. What a shock to be treated that way by a so called professional. We told him, it is our vehicle and we were told by insurance to come and pick it up. He even called in some of his buddies to help with the situation. Talk about being bullied......it was horrible. We would never recommend this towing service to anyone....except our enemies, maybe!
