The people in Green Cove Springs all seem so friendly. It's a lot like Mayberry. Even the pace is slower so don't go unless you are ready to slow down and enjoy the riverfront town and all it has to offer. Everything is within walking distance of the River Park Inn which is a great place to stay by the way. That big old home is enchanting with all the antiques, high ceilings and heartpine floors. There is a natural spring across the street as well as a fishing pier and boat slips with electric and water. 30 miles south east is St. Augustine and 30 miles north is downtown Jacksonville.
