Worst

I have been to Ritual about 10 times. I tried it from the high reviews in Citysearch and asked for Venus because of all her rave reviews. Venus was fantastic but left the salon....

Cut just fine, dry and style NOT SO GOOD 4/25/2006

I went to Ritual in April of 2006 hoping to find someone who could cut my long hair. Instead I got a woman who didn't seem to know how to dry or style long hair. I have no complaints about the cut itself however, my stylist didn't fully dry my hair and started in with a straightening iron. When I pointed out it wasn't dry all the way she dried my hair on the top again. I had to point out 5 or 6 times that my hair wasn't dry. It was as if she couldn't tell what was dry or wet. I prefer to have someone cut & style my hair without pointing out OVER & OVER that it's not fully dry! That's what I'm paying her for! I'm pretty sure I could have gotten the same cut and a better style at a place like Supercuts. Pros: good parking Cons: hard to find location, on the expensive side more

Wonderful Atmosphere~ 4/21/2006

I have been to many salons...but this one was unlike any other! You can tell that everyone really took pride in there job and there work environment! Everything was clean and up beat! I never felt like I was being rushed, I was able to relax and enjoy my service! I will tell everyone that I know that is looking for a new salon to go to Ritual! Drama, Drama, DRAMA.................. 4/14/2006

There is no more of an unpeaceful feeling then going to a place that was designed with god awful taste, people need to know the truth and about why stylists dont work there for long. The owner gossips all the time, it's pathetic. I loved my stylist Michelle who is there no longer. Glad she found a better place.. but where? My hair is amazing 4/13/2006

I've never walked into a salon that makes you feel so warm and welcome. The experience was great starting at with the front desk receptionist all the way to the serive itself. They do a great job in figuring out my ""style"" right from the get-go. Wonderful conversations we've had between me and my stylist. She has been cutting my hair since I was a youngn'. I recommend coming Ritual if you need a fresh new look. more

Amazing Color! 3/11/2006

On a recommendation of a friend, I went to Ritual to get a bad home color job fixed. I can't believe how incredible my hair looks now. It doesn't even look like I ever had that other color on my head. The girl who did my hair was really professional and didn't make me feel bad for coloring my own hair. I got my haircut reshaped and it's much more suited to me now. I thought my husband would give me a bad time for spending the money, but the first thing he said when I walked through the door was, ""you get what you pay for""! Thank you Ritual! I will never return to this salon again ,it was nearly impossible to find. On top of that i was less than satisfied with with my haircut thank god for my $10 off coupon, who would pay $48 dollars for a haircut. NOT RECCOMMENDED!!!!!!!!! Cons: directions, expensive, music more

Wonderful! 2/8/2006

I've never really liked going to hair salons, until I went to Ritual Hair Design. Authentic people, really pretty and sparkling salon, skillful care. I love going here-an upbeat atmosphere without being phony. The owner, Shawn, loves art and supports local artists even. There are new displays from local artists every time I go in. I'm treated with respect and we have fun and I always always walk out looking my best. The location is super-right in the midst of the 185th business and a new Kohl's opening up across the street. Came Here Once and I'm Never Switching! 1/29/2006

The location is close to all the major companies in the area, which is a plus! The place is immaculate, shiny, bright, enough space that makes you feel nice and cozy, just a great vibe. The ladies that work here are super friendly and courteous. Prices are very affordable. I have had to reschedule twice and usually the person on the phone would not be too happy, but not the recpt at Ritual, she rescheduled my appt. right away with a friendly smile. The location is a bit odd, in a business park. I highly recommend Michelle - from day one has cut my hair. It is rare when I recommend people to friends and family and with Michelle I have had no problems sending people her way. Great Salon! 1/28/2006

This is my favorite place to get my hair done! I've been to other places that were ok, but i was never truly happy with my hair until I came here. All the stylists are very nice and are very skilled at their job. I would recommend this salon to anyone wanting a truly great hair cut! Pros: Great Service, Friendly Stylists, Great Atmosphere Cons: Mapquest doesn't work more

Five Star Salon & Staff 1/16/2006

After my first visit, I quickly became a regular (every 4 weeks) customer! Receptionist greets me by name and offers a hot drink. Music is great background to this charming salon. The ladies doing manicures and pedicures (love the vibrating massage chair during pedicures) are so friendly and make me feel relaxed and ""completed"". The stylist, Shawn, is outstanding, best I have ever had! She offers care tips while giving me excellent cuts, styles and the color is absolutely perfect! Highest recommendation! Love my haircut! 1/14/2006

My haircut is exactly what I had asked for. before going to Ritual, it was too long, shaggy, part curly and part straight. Michelle listened to what worked for me in terms of easy care, length and the fact that at 52 I definitely needed an updated look! She thought about my answers to her questions and started cutting, the outcome is great! Atmosphere is""hip"" but also comfortable. The staff is friendly and fun. I have been a client of Shawns for years (though she is not that old), so I was not surprised when she opened Ritual Hair Design, selected the qualified staff she has, and made the salon what it is today. RHD is unsurpassed when it comes to superb and genuinely friendly service. Ritual is also unparalleled when it comes to making clients look & feel beautiful! I love this salon! Everytime I go in, they make me feel like I'm their favorte client. (I have a feeling all their clients feel the same way!) The atmoshere is fun and professional, the stylists cute and friendly, and the parking is plentiful. The inside of the salon is very upscale, yet warm and comfortable. What's not to like??? Finally, a business who understands what customer service is. This is the first salon I've ever been to where I leave the salon with the cut I described, instead of a cookie cutter cut a stylist was comfortable with. Highly recmnd!!! Ritual Hair Design is the best salon I have ever gone to. The people are friendly and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Ever time I get my hair done I love it more and more. I have so much trust in the people that cut my hair I have been able to try different looks without worry. Once you go to Ritual you won't want to go any place else. more

Bad, rushed hair cut 11/29/2005

I enjoyed the atmosphere at this salon, but when I got home I realized that the hair on one side of my head was longer than the other side---noticeably! The cut was very uneven and jagged, which was not what I asked for. I will not return to this salon. more
