Food is bad. Variety is regular and the dishes don't match. BBQ is satisfatory if you be the lucky one to have the fresh ones that you barely see. They always try to push you dry ...

BEST RESTURANT IN TOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 3/7/2008

I visited Rio Rio in Valencia on February 29,2008....its recently under new mangament !!!!....The service is great, food is terrific, and the atmoshpere is wonderful. There are 12 different kinds of meats all seasoned and juicy! I went there with 80 close friends and family. The food was delicious and the shows they had were greatttttttt! The best part was that after 10:30pm the resturant turns into a nightclub! I would recommend Rio Rio for everyone who wants to have a great timeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pros: lots of parking space, live brazilian show, ambience, service more

If the bathrooms are that bad..... i wonder how the kitchen is?!? 2/14/2008

This place, who's name is not even worth mentioning again was without a doubt, The most repulsive resturaunt my wife and I have been to over 7 years. Lets make this quick: Dirty floors, holes in the walls, agressive and rude hosting service, filthly bathrooms, WAY OVER PRICED, perverted manager who stares at every famale that walks in the place and it was decorated worse than a Denny's. That should do it! DONT GO! EVER! Cons: Everything! Definetly bringing down the restaurant scene in valencia. more

Tottaly avoid 2/1/2008

All the five star reviews are written by the fraud owners. One review gives you all the detail about show hours and calendar of events, homework done nice, how fake is that. more

Avoid it completely! 1/8/2008

We had heard many wonderful things about this restaurant, but were extremely disappointed when we finally visited ourselves. First, we waited for 20 minutes for someone to come to our table to ask if we'd been helped already. Of course, the people sitting behind us had arrived after we did and were already served their bread basket and drinks. Our child should have been given a child's plate as requested, but no one brought anything out to him until long after my husband and I had been served. We've eaten at many restaurants such as this in the past, and this was the most mediocre. The sides were very ""gravied"" down and unhealthy (spinach and mashies - mashies had lots of chunks), and all of the meats were highly over-salted. It was as if someone had dropped a salt shaker on everything. Brazilian food is known for its wonderful seasoning but not for it's having too much salt. Additionally, the server was extremely pushy about trying to charge us for being there for the show, though we had told them from the beginning that we weren't there for the show - just the food. By the way, the show is not at all intended for younger children. The talent we've seen on cruise ships was more authentic than the show we ended up seeing (pretty sad) - we had no choice, as it took forever to complete the dinner. We should not have had to continually ask for more sides. The amount they initially give is laughable. One of the servers was most wonderful and made every effort to bring us better meat, so we couldn't blame him for the poor cooking. We will not recommend this restaurant to anyone here in the Valencia area. Oh, and what were they thinking about keeping some of the original Hamburger Hamlet restaurant's old, red, vinyl booths??? And they were ripped as well. Overall disapppointing! Great night out for my birthday! Cons: Everything about it! more

Disgusting food, terrible service! We will never go again! 12/23/2007

We went to this restaurant last night and absolutely hated it! We will never, ever go back. Pros: Parking Cons: Food, service, entertainment more

Wonderful Restaurant!!! 10/3/2007

This restaurant is wonderful! When I first read the reviews on citysearch com I was surprised. Most of the people rated this restaurant with 5 stars, and only 2 people that actually wrote their reviews at the same day, gave the worst grades. So, trully speaking, I went there out of curiosity. Now, I do not have any doubts that both reviews were written by the competitors. Certainly, you can not compare it with Fogo de Chao, but it is one step ahead of all Brazilian restaurants I have been to. The food is great, the ambience is the best in all Santa Clarita Valley; and there is nothing like their entertainment around here. Plus, they have a live dj playing on Friday & Saturday nights. Common guys! Be fair. I definitely recommend this restaurant. more

Great Food, Excellet Service & Unbeatable Ambiance! 9/22/2007

I tried Rio Rio about a week ago and was completely blown away by the overall experience! My friend and I were celebrating a significant work achivement and when we told our waiter this was the reason why we were there he made an increidible effort in making sure we were well looked after. Everyone around us seemed to be enjoying themselves too! When the food arrived it was perfect, warm what needed to be warm, cold what needed to be cold and the service through out just warm!!! I would highly recommend this to anyone who has the chance! more

Terrible Food, Terrible Value, Terrible Service and Seem Dishonest 9/17/2007

Hi, Pros: Nice Decor, Seems like nice size bar. Cons: Overpriced, Meats are marginal, Not enough side dishes. more

Food and service are bad, entertaiment not worth the price 9/15/2007

Food is bad. Variety is regular and the dishes don't match. BBQ is satisfatory if you be the lucky one to have the fresh ones that you barely see. They always try to push you dry and old meats first. The desserts are bad, don't seem to be made at the restaurant. Pros: Parking Cons: Food quality, service, prices, desserts more

Terrible, worst brazilian restaurant ever, bad service, food tastes old and not seasoned 9/15/2007

I'm Brazilian, my wife is American. We live in Santa Clarita Valley for a long time. We've been there three times. We went for the first time at the first week they open, everything was bad. We tried to give them a second chance. We went there after 3 months in a saturday night. The service was still terrible, the food even worst and everything very very pricey. We thought, maybe is because it was a busy night. Let's try for the third time in a regular night. We simply hated. Defitively this restaurant must close down. It's a shame to be Braziian and have a restaurant like that in our city. I've asked one of the servers and he told me that the owners are Armenian and have never been to Brazil. How could they open a Brazilian restaurant without knowing anything about the country??? They play all kind of music, but NOT Brazilian (that are really good). This restaurant is ridiculous, they should review all their concepts and the owners should learn A LOT more about Brazil, the food, music, tradition and culture... I don't recommend this restaurant AT ALL! Cons: Bad quality of food, bad service and very pricey more

Fantastic Spot!!! 9/6/2007

FANTASTIC!!! I've never seen anything like this restaurant in Santa Clarita Valley. I visited this restaurant several times already. Definitely, the best food is the original BBQ from what they call churrasco grill. The meats are always fresh and juicy. I also tried their newly introduced menu, which includes salads, fish dishes, as well as meats that are prepared either on regular or churrasco grill, and can be ordered a la carte. I really like the atmosphere in the restaurant, especially on Fridays and Saturdays. The Brazilian live carnival shows worth a lot. This place is fun for late night hangouts. I saw their calendar for September, and it seems they are promoting their Thursdays. Strating from September, 13th there are going to be different bands playing. They are introducing Salsa dances on Sundays, and promised to bring comedy shows starting middle of October. In other words, there is always something going on in this restaurant. I can proudly say that I am one of the loyal customers of Rio Rio Churrascaria Bar & Grill. Pros: Parking, Food, Service, Ambience, Entertainment more

Great Food + Show! 8/13/2007

My wife and I ate at Rio Rio the other night. It's a pretty standard Churrascaria set up (read: vegetarians need not apply), green means more meat, red means ""I'm about to burst."" The meat is all very good, the Brazillian steak and tri tip were big hits at our table. The service is very attentive. Pros: MEAT!, Service, Ample parking, Great show Cons: From LA it's a bit of a drive (hope you like your date!). more

I had never been to a Churrascaria before... 8/13/2007

Let me begin by stating I had no idea what to expect and when the host didn't offer me a menu I thought their service was lacking. How wrong was I?!? So very, pleasantly wrong! more
