Best pizza in Colorado 2/27/2010

This is the closest thing to real NY pizza that you will find in Denver. The pizza is outstanding, the salads are remarkable, the prices are insanely reasonable, and the owner is typical 'New York' with a friendly and personable demeanor. He takes pride in his business and in pleasing his customers. Well done, Rico's! Five stars, hands down. more

Simply the Best 4/15/2009

I have frequented Rico's for almost 30 years starting when they were Red Moon pizza in the Cinderella City mall. I am a hard to please pizza lover and have tried most of the notable pies in town. Syl, Rico, Sal and the fun, friendly staff still keep making the best NY style pie around. And that includes the places I visited in NY.\r \r Their specialty sub cost $1.80 in 1980. Today? $1.80. Great value and unbeatable quality.\r \r Keep up the good work.\r \r John M. Pros: Best pizza in town, bar none! Sides, Specials and Staff Cons: Small but mighty! more

NY Pizza Meets CO 9/29/2008

If you are form the East Coast and have been searching for an Eastt Coast style PIzzeria, Rico's is as close as you will get in CO. The pizza is freash and delicious. The calzones and salads are good. The prices are right and they are keepin it real! \r \r Leave your credit card/debi card at home, Rico's only takes cash or checks. Pros: Great za! Cons: Not spacious more

I stumbled onto a great find! 5/16/2007

I was way past due for lunch, and Rico's was right next to the Army Surplus Store, so I stuck my head in. The place was packed, but I didn't have to wait very long at all to get through the takeout line. I asked the waitress what her favorite was, and immediately got responses from all the other customers at the counter. I decided to go for the combo sub. I've gotta say...this simple sub far exceeded my expectations. The best touch was that it is baked fresh on a ""pizza crust"" roll. Truly awesome! I ate outside on a bench and watched the cars go by on Broadway--ok for a nice day, but it looked a bit tight inside if you really wanted a table. I will definitely be back! Pros: Amazing subs Cons: small seating area, fairly noisy more

Rico?s would be appropriate anytime you need a tasty, high quality, quick, in-expensive lunch or diner, dine in or to go. 3/31/2007

I have been driving by this place for twenty years or so. Don?t be put off by the sign that reads Subs still only $1.85. I just assumed that it was a cheap eats place period. It was not expensive, the food was hand crafted in front of my eyes, and the ingredients are fresh, and the end result very good. My first clue that I found something good is when on Thursday night the line for a table extended out the front door. Yet we found our table in about ten minuets. I have never felt the need to recommend a restaurant on the internet after eating there. In reading the other reviews I noticed all of the reviews rate this small cozy place as ?Highly Recommended? this includes my review. It is a quality clean tasty place to eat. It has an open kitchen; this ensures there is no place to hide the grunge found in most commercial kitchens. Rico?s would be appropriate anytime you need a tasty, high quality, quick, in-expensive lunch or diner, dine in or to go. Thank you to the proprietor and staff. Pros: The food Cons: Not a place for groups or dates more

Try their subs 11/17/2006

This small joint just west of Sweedish will keep you coming back for more. It can be crowded sometimes, but just call up and order some take-out. I'm addicted to their pepperoni subs. Great food at a good price. Pros: Tasty food, good prices, fast service Cons: Small dining area can be crowded sometimes more

Best pizza in the Englewood area 9/4/2006

Tried all other pizza restaurants in the area, and nothing compares. Right amount of cheese and sauce, large and thin new york style crust, and fresh toppings...that's what makes a good pizza. Not to mention the service, in 15 mins always. Family run joint, Sal is always there running the place like he knows how and giving you your pie. \r \r Always go Ricos in englewood. more

No slices of Pizza here and no credit cards!!!! Wonderful handmade pizza, made to order and the linguini with white clam sauce is TDF. Not to mention the wonderful crew (mostly family) and the great salads! If you like ""back east"" style restaurants, give this wonderful little dining facility a try! Have been going there for many years and it is a great value and a great meal! Pros: Pizza, Linguini, Staff Cons: Busy at lunch! more

Great Pizza! 2/19/2004

Rico's provides one of the best pizza's in town. Although the restaurant is on the small side and they can be pretty darn crowded at times, the pizza is worth the wait! Pros: Pizza, Value, Great take out Cons: , NY attitude of staff more

Great East Coast Style Italian 7/23/2003

Rico's provides an east coast eating experience on the south side of Denver. The pizza is one of a kind with a cheese/seasoning blend that is like noneother I have had. It's really delicious...and really affordable. Rico and Sal will take good care of your appetite. There's no going wrong at Rico's. Jon Pros: spices, easy carry out, great prices more
