Last resort for desperate people 4/7/2006

This place exists to take advantage of desperate and lazy students. Everything is horrendously overpriced. I have avoided coming here for most of my Berkeley experience, but one time I was forced to after realizing late at night I was toothpaste-less. It was about 5 dollars for one tube. ONE TUBE! You can buy a 6 pack from Costco for that price! However, its location is convenient and probably safer than walking down to Shattuck on a dark night. more

Also known as Blue Haven, every student know of this place, but I don't know of anyone that actually likes it there. You go there cause it's a last resort, either that or you walk all the way down to Walgreen's. Everything there is way overpriced, I mean, how many little drug stores do you know that the entire staff is wired up by headset walkie-talkies? But, when you need that last minute bluebook, it's where you go. more

place that kicks you while you're down... 3/22/2006

Rexall is probably the closest drugstore to the majority student population (near the Units and in the middle of the telegraph scene). They're supposed to be a drug store...and they do have medicine, but nearly everything they have is double the regular price...and when you're really sick and don't have the energy to walk to the drug stores on shattuck...this place will rob you blind. I guess i'll give it a couple of stars for sheer convenince, but its not a nice store. more
