Restlawn Memorial Park

This is a true story. My grandmother and grandfather are buried at Rest Lawn in the late 1970's. My aunt purchased the two plots next to my grandparents, which were her parents. Over the years she would talk about wanting to be burried next to her mother and father. My aunt, was a mother to me. My mother left our family when I was very young. When my aunt died a few years ago, everything was proceeding as expected such as the showing, the service, the wake, and then it came time for us to gather as she was laid to rest except, when the car arrived to the grave site, it wasn't the right one. The short version of the long and tramatic events to unfold is, the cemetery sales guy sold the same plot twice, period. Unf'ing believable. We refused to allow this to happen so she was placed in a temporary mausoleum. In the end they burried her where she wanted to be buried. It took two to three months, lots of phone calls and emails. \r \r Unbelievable. more

Shame on you Restlawn. To treat people so poorly when they are grieving. You and your growns crew need some serious people skills. more

This cemetery is supposed to be a beautiful tribute and final resting place for the men and women who served our country BUT it's actualy a pathetic joke. After a rain, water standes everywhere, submursing head stones, and making it impossible to visit loved ones. In mowing, the headstones are literally 'mowed' over, which in turn damages them, and sends them deeper into the ground. Unfortunately, this water situation has been going on for years and nothing seems to be done to fully correct the problem. On this Memorial Day Holiday, May 30, 2011, there is no indication of a service being held at this veteran's cemetery; nothing sent to families of the vet's burried there, nothing on the news, in the local paper, or even on the answering maching. This cemetery/mausoleum is an unfortunate, sad, pathetic disgrace for any person to be buried in, let alone a vet. Shame on the people who own Restlawn Memorial Park and Mausoleum. more

I feel Restlawn offers the best combination of price and service of any of the local cemeteries. They are big enough to provide a lot of options, but small enough to care about me. more

WHO DOES NOT SEE THROUGH THEIR CURTAIN OF LIES TO DECIPHER ""SPOUSE MAY BE BURIED HERE"" WILL BE AT A COST? \r TO DRAW ON THE VETERAN THINGY, POSITIONS THEM AT THEIR LOWEST, IF THAT'S FEASABLE. more
