I had been to several other realtors who told me that I could not get a single family home for the price I was looking for and tried to make me rent a townhome or an apartment. Walked into Rent Free on a Sunday and it was packed! I had all my things in a u-Haul truck and didn't think they would be able to help. I had to wait a little while until an agent was available but once we got started, he showed me properties in Hollywood that I could move into that day. I am still moving in but I wanted to write a review so my agent Mike could get credit! He was awesome and even recommended someone to help me move my stuff! My husband and I were desperate to find a home quick!! The home that we were renting just got served with foreclosure papers and we only had a few days to move out. When we found Rent Free on Craigslist we were told to come into the office and they would be able to help us find something. I was so scared that we would not be able to find a place in time!! When we got there we were helped by one of the Agents that spent the whole day with us until we found the right home! We were able to move in the next day!! :) With a very low move in!! If it weren't for their help I would have never found this place and we would have been out on the streets spending more money on storage and hotel cost. Thanks so much for all your help!! i used them to rent an apartment. i paid them one months rent only to have a dead beat scam artist in my apartment. this company did not check them out at all. i did my own investigating and found out this tennant has played the same scam on many landlords. i paid them to do a background check and they did nothing. the tennant never sent me the 1st months rent after moving in. i had to do an eviction and start all over. stay away from these crooks for sure. Rent free realty supports landlords that take 2 month security deposit with intention not to return it, landlords are keeping monies in their personal bank accounts and not in escrow, so the only way to get your deposit back is to pay $378 for filing in small claims court, wait about 6 months (currently march 09-november 09), win your case and then try to get payment from your landlord. Also if you decide to move, realty has walk in policy, which means agent with prospective tenants will give short notice( sometimes 10-15 min at inconvenient times and walk right in). They required a nonrefundable deposit before informing us that the approval process would take over 2 weeks so we're forced to find another place to live and cover the costs of moving twice and storage fees in the meantime. Before they got the deposit they guaranteed move within 2 days. Do not do business with this place.The Real Estate agents at this place will do and say anything to rent you a place.All they care about is their commission.They lie, cheat ,and then take your money in cash only.I am sorry I ever walked into this place. more
