I hated the idea that I had to move, I've done it so many times, but really wanted this new place. I didn't call the guys I used before cause they were terrible, I called a few other companies and chose Relocation Moving because they were great on the phone, they gave me a lot of information about, insurance and things that I didn't think to ask about but they offered. most of the other companies just gave me prices, and no info. \r When the movers came, they were respectful and packed my things , (last time the company just threw it in a bin), especially my plasma TV. Delivery in New York City was smooth and quick. \r The quote they gave me was accurate and though it was a big pain to move, they were good, honest, on time and accurate, and nothing broke. what else could I ask for? \r \r \r more

\r My wife and I used Relocation Moving for our long distance move from New Jersey to South Carolina. The entire process was made seamless by the Relocation staff. The moving estimate was provided by a very polite, knowledgeable associate by the name of Andy Kaplan . Andy visited our home and estimated the size of our move. He explained how our furniture would be wrapped and our breakables would be packed. The movers arrived on a timely basis and were ready to work. The drivers, Sean and Ray, directed all the employees in a professional manner. All the movers and packers were very polite and had a genuine interest in packing our belongings to afford them the greatest protection. Our home was packed within the estimated time. Negative 4 Stars. This company has taken years off my life from the frustration that they have put me through. As others have reported, I was lured into an enticing estimate for my move only to essentially be forced into paying more than double to get my stuff. Everything about how they conduct business is dishonest and underhanded. Everything seems very strategic to me and no matter what you say they have an excuse. I spoke with them time and time again and at no point did one word I said get listened to. Many emails were completely ignored including my last several. They lost multiple items, broken many items, were later than i was told they would be by more than double.. Please please please never use this company. They are slimy and as far as I can see have no regard for professionalism or honesty. After all of this they had the nerve to tell me that I was not getting a dime because I was trying to ""trick"" them! They are scam artists and crooks. When I brought their attention to some of these terrible reviews and others their excuse was that they were posted by competing companies. They will likely say the same thing about this and any future posts. They basically threatened me with a slander suit when i said i was going to review them all over town since they wouldnt return my money. BEWARE David is the owner who will hear nothing you say, Charles will give you your impossibly low estimate, and Judy will ignore you once you start complaining after you get ripped off. more

\r I found these guys when I needed to move to Upstate New York two years ago. I was really worried about all the moving horror stories that I had hear and settled on Relocation Moving & Storage Inc. after a lot of debate. They did a great job then and they did a great job a week ago when they moved me to Manhattan Hoboken NJ back again. They also moved my parents from New York to New Jersey in the mean time and did a great job then too. They took care of storing my stuff for me in NYC for about a month, and nothing was broken or damaged when they got here. The guys that came to my home worked fast, were friendly and professional, and did a great job. In an industry where there are lots of scary stories... \r There are so many companies and scams out there in a moving business that it's hard to figure out which company will do the best job. I am grateful that I chose Relocation Movers for my move from New York City,NY to the Stamford CT. The friendly and helpful office staff guided me on how to access my household goods to get an accurate quote. If you follow their guidelines, you cannot go wrong. My advice to anyone would be to let them know exactly what you're moving, how many boxes, what size, measure your dressers, tables, and anything you can to give them an idea of what you're shipping. They'll take care of the rest. The movers came out on the date expected, they went out of their way to deliver my household goods on the date I wanted (which was before the expected date of delivery) they contacted me to keep me informed along the way. \r Over the years my husband and I heard many horror stories about moving companies and the terrible aggravation that my friends have gone through with regards to their moves. I must admit that I was skeptical that Relocation Movers could actually ""deliver"" on what was agreed. However, as it turned out, our experience with Relocation Movers when moving from Manhattan, NY to Fort Lee, NJ turned out to be an overall pleasant experience! The movers were highly organized, punctual, accurate in their estimate, reliable and very helpful. They demonstrated outmost respect for our belongings when packing the content of our home and at the same time respected the fact that we were on a tight budget and did not want to incur any additional expanses making this move. They were on time, professional and honest. They accidentally damaged our thermostat and had absolutely no issue making good on the cost of repair. All three of the guys in the office, Tim, Peter, and Bob, were on the ball and faxed insurance certificates when requested. Their storage prices are fall below any in the City. Every facet of the move was impeccably handled with ability, competence, and incredibly hard work (Our new apartment is a 6th floor walk-up.) They provided extra boxes and tape when we ran out, helped to pack what we hadn't finished before they arrived, and dismantled and reassembled several pieces of furniture. My experience with Relocation Movers was amazing. The movers were so nice and careful with my things. They came on time and gave me an accurate estimation of how long the move would take.They all worked so fast wrapping my furniture and getting everything out. One of my couches was too big for the doorway of my new apt and they really tried hard (and succeeded) in getting my favorite couch into the living room. All of the movers seemed experienced and really knew the efficient ways to do things. I was very impressed and thankful for them. Moving is never fun and Relocation Movers made it SO much easier. more

\r My wife and I just moved from Manhattan to the Chicago area. We decided to go with Relocation movers based partly on the great reviews on CitySearch. We were not disappointed! They provided an estimate that was cnsiderably less then rest of the companies. On the day of the move, the Relocation movers team arrived promptly at 7 am, quickly and professionally loaded all of our stuff onto the truck, and headed for Chicago. We met them at our new apartment next day , and they unloaded everything and put together our furniture in under an hour. The were extremely professional, careful, and friendly throughout the day. And, since they worked so quickly, the final cost was over $420 less than the estimate, so we saved a lot of money.Overall, this was an extremely easy moving experience. We got outstanding service at a price no one else could match. We will definitely use Relocation movers for future moves and would highly recommend them to anyone else!\r more

I hate moving more than anything. I called at least 20 movers to get estimates. I booked a less expensive mover who I had a problem with 2 days before my move and called Relocation Moving & Storage in a panic to help me out. They took my reservation without a deposit, on good faith, and showed up at exactly 9am. They got my belongings out my 4th floor walk-up apartment with such ease...don't think any item touched a wall. The crew worked like clockwork. They will give you a B.S quote, stating 90 an hour including all, but they will hold your stuff and not release them till you cough up $1000????!!! they are liars, thieves, they are scammers, because they are not licensed or insured, and operate under the table, they have no credentials, (ALL OF THE REVIEWS THAT HAVE 5 STARS ARE MADE BY ONE THAT WORKS AT THEIR COMPANY) , if you have been scammed by them, please file a complaint directly with the BBB, you may also file a complaint with the FTC and Workers comp, since they are operating illegally. more

I recently moved homes locally in NY and had a wonderful experience using Relocation Moving. The people at the office made it easy to schedule and plan my move, and they really helped me prepare for every detail in the moving process. From parking, packing, traffic, to delivery and set-up, Relocation Moving allayed all of my stress. When the movers arrived to our home they had big smiles and were ready to work. I was so impressed to see them lift every item carefully over stairs, around walls, and through the doorways. They cared more about the items and my home than I did! Not to mention they worked fast! The crew at my home was so friendly, courteous, and ready to lend a hand. Arriving at new place, the crew unloaded and patiently moved my furniture around for me until I knew where I wanted things to go. I even got a call from the office making sure everything went well.
