Wow... Can I relate to what Mike said (below). Please read this before you choose your finance company!!!! \r I had been behind since the beginning of my contract. I had several conversations with customer service reps to change my due date.... never happened. So not wanting to mess with it any longer.... I left it and paid on my pay day. The years went by..... and now that I have 6 payments left ..... and they can make more money than I owe, It gets repo ed... in December, when no one has any money anyway. Yeah, it's my own fault... but I would get an email and phone calls on my work phone...... daily telling me to call the office in regards to my bill and they can't send me one for the repo. Long story short.... I got mine back and paid their damn bill off and lucky me... I went to get my vehicle and the radiator was missing! wtf? I am not a thief!! I hate thieves..... and these people are NOTHING BUT WRONG!!!! on so many levels. Be careful when using UN- RELIABLE CREDIT. more

Ok here we go! #1 Reliable credit is a sub-prime lender for people with a. Serious credit problems. b. People buying high mileage vehicle that no other bank will touch because the risk in lending people with shit credit is huge. However; When you go to a dealer, they absolutely try to avoid putting you into any type of sub-prime loan or several reasons. It costs money. If a dealer buys a car with a wholesale book of 6k and a retail book of 8k the lender, (reliable) will only loan on 6k whole sale book. So they need cash down to make up the differences, oh! BUT O COURSE YOU DONT HAVE CASH DOWN! So you write the dealer a 2k hold check that you swear will be good next payday! HA! Why because when you miss the scheduled payments and they repo there car they can after they pay the repo man recoup most of the balance at auction, assuming you have not trashed the car. Cash or prime financing is a lo quicker and gets funded really fast. In addition not only does reliable charge yo 29% that you agree to because you are an agreeable credit bandit in need of wheels and will do anything to drive away that day, and you deserve to pay that ridiculous rate, because you lack o responsibility earned it, that's why no one will co-sign for you. they also charge the dealer a BANK FEE. This bank fee can be as much as 2k. So what the dealer does behind the scenes while the salesman is trying to package you up with income, bank, phone bills, references etc is negotiating with reliable to reduce the bank fee so they can make a well deserved profit. The dealer is lucky on a sub-prime loan if they make a grand. In addition they deal with credits mutts like some of the posters here that say they will bring in the stips and never do. So it takes sometime weeks to get reliable to fund the dealer, while the dealer is chasing down the mutt, YOU to get current income, residence and all the shit you said you would bring in and NEVER DID. Not to mention insurance. So i you hate reliable so much, PAY CASH, HAVE MOM OR DA CO-SIGN OR JUST PAY YOU BILLS! \r \r more

These people will only defend there trash when you call them !! SO DON""T WASTE YOUR TIME ... They don't want to build up there company with good relations with there customers. Just making my second Loan through Reliable Credit in Milwaukie. I have always been treated with respect by the folks there, even though I recently ended a Chapter 13 BK. They made me an auto loan, when I really needed them. I find the Negative Reviews a bit absurd. How would a Financial Institution benefit from ""holding"" someones payment? Lenders usually lose big $$ on a Repo, plus, if they do come out ahead, the Law requires them to return any excess money to you. As for not making your payments because your car broke down, why blame them? You picked it out, they just loaned you the money. Might as well blame your neighbor as the Lender. Even when you Lease a New Car you are still responsible for maintaining it. I learned a long time ago that if you keep your promises as a customer, you will not have any problems with any Lender. It seems most of these reviewers are complaining about ""self inflicted wounds"". Thanks for Trusting me Reliable. Mike at the Coast. more

Well it would appear as though some of you didn't listen to the person on the phone when you purchased your care & decided to use reliable credit. They stated very clearly that they were a 2nd chance type of lending company & clearly stated that your payments were due with NO grace period although after talking with them you will find out legally that you do have a 10 day grace period from your due date. As far as the davidsday11 is concerned, have you heard of CARFAX, wow dud you effed yourself on those car's & legally they cannot put a GPS tracker on your car without your knowledge. I have only had one bad dealing with them & it was when we went into the company itself to make a payment SO IT WAS ON TIME.. Make your freakin payments on time & you won't have any issues people, its not their fault your credit is trashed & I understand bad things happen to good people, but do everything you can to make your payment on time, oh did I mention to make your payment on time. more

This is the WORST company I have ever 5/31/2012

This is the WORST company I have ever dealt with. The customer service and loan reps, with one exception, were mean, rude and condescending. Everything was a difficult process, and each time I had to call in my stomach got upset with stress. They charge for everything. I would rather walk EVERYWHERE than ever deal with these people again. more

Ya know.....they always treated me good 3/9/2012

Ya know.....they always treated me good and respectful when I call and answer any questions I have. They have since the first day I did buisness with them..... Any one who complains is either lame or just plain stupid... When you went to the lot and they told you who'd be finanancing you you all were just happy to get your car loan approved.....you know who it was and what they was.....so if you dont make your payments on time, whos fault is that yours not thiers.....the person that answers the phone is just trying to do thier job. So crying now is pointless... You guys are A+ to me! more

Made on time payments some times two 3/4/2012

Made on time payments some times two weeks in advance of its due date for two years. Here is what I got with Reliable: 2009 purchased a dodge intrepid using a fleet vehicle because again, this could help my credit record as a trade in. three days later, car is dead. Reliable offered me another loan on a better car. Took the offer for my business needs and bought a town car. A year and a half later the steering column starts to smoke and then catches on fire. Vehicle number 3. Bought it and got it home just to find out that it had over $2,000 in repairs it needed before I could use it for business. Sunk $2,000 into it and it still sat dead. Even the motorcycle broke down. This was my turning point. I went to reliable credit to get a cash loan on the equity over the course of two and half years of steady ontime payments to get these vehicles back on the road so I can start making money again and I was to in short fraze that I was screwed!! Last week they called wanting to know about payment and I told them I was not going to pay for junk any longer. That same day they had a tow truck plucking the vehicles out. One vehicle I did not have an address on as to where it was at and today my former driver told me that last friday they had come to his house and took the car. Hmmm GPS tracking devices is how they find these vehicles. Have you ever wondered why your battery goes dead in your car from time to time? Have you ever wondered why the dealer or private person your buying the car from wants to take it to reliable to show them the car first? It is because they install a tracking device in your vehicle before it leaves! Bottom line, Take what payments you will give this company and make it to yourself. Then in two years take that amount and go buy your car for cash! This is a subprime lender. They will not help you but hurt you in the end! FYI, As a business owner myself, they are writing all the positive feeds on these reviews themselves. Save your money, pay off your debts. Save your money and buy for cash a nicer car and own it. Otherwise you will lose your job, then your car, then end up in court owing these thieves your life! more

DON'T DO IT! 10/11/2011

NO MATTER HOW BAD YOU WANT OR NEED A CAR LOAN! THESE POEPLE ARE AWFUL. THEY LIE, CHEAT YOU OUT OF HARD EARNED $$ AND HARASS YOU. THEY CALL ME EVERY SINGLE DAY AND LEAVE A MESSAGE EVEN IF I'VE ALREADY COMMUNICATED TO THEM WHEN I CAN MAKE PAYMENT. THEY HARASS MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY CONSISTENTLY EVEN THOUGH I TOLD THEM THEY DON'T HAVE PERMISSION! RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! more

RELIABLE CREDIT ARE JERKS 9/20/2011

Reliable Credit has the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE known to man. I had a simple question regarding a policy and the guy actually said,"" USE YOUR WORDS WISELY OR WE ARE GOING TO REPOSSESS YOUR CAR"" first of all I was only 5 days late on my car payment and you cannot repossess a car only being that late. HE TREATED ME WITH NO RESPECT and didnt answer my question at all. HATE THEM WITH ALL MY HEART AND CANNOT BELIEVE I WENT TO THEM...please dont make the same mistake I did... more

Absolutely HORRIBLE 9/8/2011

This place is by far the most horrendous ""credit association"" I've ever had this displeasure of working with. Just hearing the name infuriates me. Their rates are THROUGH THE ROOF (mine was at 27%), their customer service is horrible, and they give you ZERO customer flexibility. I have NO idea what kind of selfish toolbox runs this ""company""- but karma is going to catch up with them someday. In total honesty (and I'm a girl that NEEDS a car- end of discussion)- I'd rather commute on TriMet than have any more of my hard earned money go to these a$$clowns. Run far, far away from these heartless, self-hating people. I don't know if these people have a rating with the BBB- but sweet lord of mercy, I hope they don't have a decent one. I don't recommend this ""company"" to anyone- they're horrible, steal your money, and are just sucky, mean trolls who drain your bank account. The only thing I'd like to pass on to the owner: Bless your little heart. more

Umm, is that Don reviewing his own company??? 3/26/2011

Wow, this company is so sleazy that they wrote their own fake review. Just look two reviews down here on citysearch. I've not done business with these shillers, but a good friend did. They prey on the sub-prime credit folks and rip them off. Please people, drive a pile of s#*t if you have to, just don't finance a car from scumbags like Reliable. Seriously, who's gonna come here and write a 'good' review for a company that's charging them 21% or more on a 15-20 year old car they probably bought out of desperation? The fact that they have to write their own 'good' review should scare the crap out of you. Hey Reliable, the Karma train is headed your way. more

Dishonest and very very Unfriendly. 3/25/2011

I was with Reliable for 3 years before they repo my dream car. They lied to me, treated me like garbage, held my payments, repod my car and had the nerve to say I still owe them more money. They are very rude on the phone, will not accept payments via internet, and soon as you get a little behind, they crucify you. I would notwant my worst enemy to do buisness with reliable. more

Reliable Credit 3/24/2011

I have been making payments to Reliable Credit for many months now and every time I have to call them they are very nice and help me very well every time I have enjoyed having them as my car's financing and would tell people that want a great place to do financing with use them they are the tops more

great financing company 11/23/2009

My fiance and I have been with Reliable since 2007 and have absolutely enjoyed having them as our car's financing people. Everytime that we have called about having to be late on a payment, they have been so nice. more

Worst Financing company EVER!!!!! 2/4/2009

I got my car at a local dealership they were amazing but the financing company is NOT! I have ben a good paying customer of thers and back in feb - april 2006 I had no insurance on my vehicle for 2 months ( my insurance company never received our policy renewal letter) so Reliable credit added $3,500 onto my contract. i would be done paying in May 2009 but I wont be done paying until next may of 2010 so just because i was without insurance for less then 2 months they decided to add on $3,500 to my contract. that is ridiculous. When I received a letter from them stating they had put insurance on my vehicle and I saw that dollar amount. I then immediatley got insurance that same day and they are not willing to take some of that off my contract. I am always on time and pay more then what i should a month. They dont care about that all they care about is making money. By the way they never told me about the 1 year extension on my vehicle i called to pay the car off and they said balance is $4,600 i said XCUSE ME !!!!!! then thats when theyJUST TOLD ME 3 YEARS LATER that they had extended my contract i had the $1,100 but not the $4,600. My car is not even worth $3,500 they ripped me off and made $19,000 on a car that is worth $2,000. They have all these fees and try to get anything out of there customers that they can. DO NOT EVER FINANCE WITH THIS COMPANY! they will take advantage of you. Customers come LAST AND MONEY COMES FIRST TO THEM! Cons: HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, THEY DONT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT. I GET THE RUNAROUND. HOLD TIME IS BAD. OVER ALL SO BAD! more
