Regal Cinemas Crossgates Mall 18

seats are shabby and straight up and down...they don't move at all. During the previews I was subjected to POLITICAL PROPAGANDA from a media company...Are you serious? I am out with my daughter to watch a teen flick and have to be subjected to that on family night??? I find it unethical and disgusting. I won't frequent this theatre again or any other that pulls that junk. more

This theatre is very large. They play a lot of movies and have good showing times. Since it is so large, it is always crowded and people are loud and talk. I would rather go to a smaller theatre and not have to listen other people talking. Plus, it is the most expensive in the area. There are smaller theatres in the area that are cheaper and less crowded. more

Regal Crossgates is what I would consider to be the premier update mega movie plex in the area. Since they closed the other theater located in Crossgates, it has become the movie theater to go to to see your popular hits. They offer stadium seating, which is nice compared to how the other theater in the mall was. The disadvantage to this seating however is that during extremely popular showings of movies, you need to get there early to find a good seat. I once saw the remake of "Dawn of the Dead" on opening night, and our group of four could not find a seat in the upper level. We were forced to sit on the bottom flat level and lean back to stare upwards at the screen. Regal, as a chain, has high prices. Expect to pay $9.xx on a weekend night. The advantage to it being a Regal theater though is that they have their Regal Rewards Card. You get points for every show you see and concession item you buy. With 40 points (4 ticket purchases) you get a free medium popcorn. Though it's not the best benefit in the world, it is a nice treat especially if you are someone who does not normally purchase concession items. more

This one is one of the best in the area with the stadium seating. The only problem is if you don't get there like 30 before show starts, you do not get anywere close to good seats. It is always crowded except for during the day. The food is very overpriced and there are always long lines. Movies are so expensive nowadays its almost not worth going. more

The Regal Cinema here is pretty much what you'd expect, an 18 screen movie theater with lots of teenagers, overpriced refreshments and overpriced tickets. It's in the mall, so you can't avoid the above items. The screens look nice though, and the seats are pretty comfy as these things go. more

We've been going to Regal in the Mall for years. They always have every new release movie playing and they usually have enough times a day when the movies are running so you can fit one into any day you might want to go. The prices are about average for movie theaters, but they also offer a matineee and childrens prices to help you save money. They offer gift certificates which are excellent stocking stuffers for the teenagers in our home. more

I love having a movie theater in the mall because you are able to kill time or browse before and after the movie. Crossgates hands down has the largest selection of movies to choose from in the area. The theaters are stadium seating which makes for easier viewing. I've always found the theaters to be a bit chilly and loud - but that's the same at almost any cinema nowadays. more

I really like the new Regal Cinema 18 at Crossgates Mall. The seats are comfy with plenty of leg room. The best seats are on the second level near the center, but all the other seats offer a great movie experience as well. The only complaints I have are that the movies are really loud, especially when you are watching action movies. I nearly went deaf watching the latest Star Wars. And, the popcorn sucks. It tastes and smells funny. Other than that, its a great place to watch a movie. more
