The hamburgers tasted like thick big mac's. It is good for groups and kids, but I'd rather go to a fast food resturant because it tastes the same and costs less.

Pretty much the most awful place ever 1/6/2011

I used to eat here all the time years and years ago. I even knew the manager. After he left things have gone to crap at this place. Service is awful, food is awful. I have waited for my food for over an hour on 3 separate occasions. I am done giving them chances. Too bad too many times. more

Best French Fries anywhere 4/15/2008

At Red Robin the food is excellent and the environment is good. But I think the manager of the restraunt forgot that racism doesn't exist anymore. Or does it? Me and my wonderful beautiful African-American race feel that this restaurant doesn't accept us as equal customers. Whenever I eat there they always seem to seat me next to the kitchen or the bathrooms. Me and my people of the color will not stand for this any more. All we ask is to be counted as equal customers as the dominant race (caucasion) and be seated somewhere else besides the bathrooms or kitchen. more

Extremely fun family restaurant! 6/14/2007

Title sums it up nicely. Good food, Great Family Fun, and Great Service. Love the music they play while eating. Reasonably priced. Nice place to eat family outing. Pros: Great atmosphere, Family Friendly and Reasonably Priced Cons: A little slow sometimes-cook to serve. more

Great bottomless steak fries! 8/27/2006

We love Red Robin. Good food, good prices, great service, fun atmosphere! Try their yummy, creamy milkshakes. more

Not bad, but not great... average sums it up quite nicely. 6/30/2006

A typical generic burger cafe, the decor is an attempt at a 50's style all-american feel but all the personality they try to create melds together and becomes another chain restaurant with a bunch of random junk on the wall. Don't get me wrong, I eat there probably once every couple of months, a nice average place is perfect for a large, average group of friends. But in this day and age of over-eating and homogonized experiences it's a shame that a place like this can be rated anything but ordinary. Let's be honest here folks, you're not going to be wowed at Red Robin, you're going to get full... Pros: All you can eat fries is a nice, original touch. Cons: Layton's location has particularly loud seating near the windows, it echoes quite badly more

Best Burger in Utah 11/10/2004

Must try: the Salmon burger! (two filets of grilled salmon) if and when they have it. Otherwise the next best burger is the Carnitas (half pound of roast pork). Skip the Pot roast burger. It is skimpy, and oversalted. The thick french fries are all-you-can-eat with a tasty fry sauce. The shakes are served with the tin container. The decor is pure fun. This location is perfect for a pre-movie-matinee lunch. Pros: Burgers/Fries, Shakes, Decor more

Great Gourmet Burgers 7/7/2004

This is a fun place to eat. We had the blue cheese burger and the ""special"" - an excellent salmon burger - two large grilled filets in the bun - both were very tasty. The bottomless home fries are the best - hot, fresh, salty. Order the lime shake - have them hold the chocolate swirl when they make it - the lime holds up very well by itself - yum! The only drawback - the lobby was empty when we walked in - the ""Hostess"" was in the back jawing with the waiters - I had to use the microphone at the front desk -""Waitress to the Front"" - boy was the manager surprised when he heard that. This is the ideal pre-movie eatery - try to get there before the crowd - it's nicer without all the confusion. Pros: gourmet burgers, lime shake, ambiance more

Too much money 12/29/2002

I have eaten at Red Robin twice now and both times my dissapointment occurred when the check hit the table. The burgers are OK. They are not what I would expect for a 20+ dollar bill for two people. Pros: Good service, food came quick Cons: Way too expensive more

Impressed 12/29/2002

We have been there twice in the last month and were very pleased both times. The food service was great, bar service very poor. The quality of food was great in every aspect. Zucchini appetizer was to die for. Great value and atmosphere. Outstanding desserts. The Ice Cream Pie, standing 7 inches high, would feed three. Pros: food quality, food value, parking free Cons: bar service more

old meets new 11/9/2002

I felt it appropriate to mention the atmosphere versus the food itself. The atmosphere itself is something that reminds me of the old drive-in restaurants; very friendly and fun. The food itself brings to mind the very essence of the of todays California setting with it's chicken burgers smeared in guacomole. Together the atmosphere and the food make it the perfect date night out and place for family fun. Pros: great ambience, inexpensive, great food Cons: needs more parking more

Stacked 9/20/2002

Looks to me like Red Robin stacked the votes. I've eaten there quite a few times and instead of getting better ( i really liked them when they first came to SLC - 9 years ago?), they're worse. Considering they ended up at the top of quite a few categories looks to me like somebody stacked the votes. Cons: Average Food, Slow Service more

Blah! 9/12/2002

The food is only so-so, and the service is always terrible! How it made such a list as ""best"" blows me away! more

Are you serious? 9/6/2002

Hmmm....looks to me like the managers and employees did a lot of voting before the results for best ice cream came out uh? There is no way that a burger joint has better ice cream than the companies that put all their time into the ice cream business. Come on Red Robin be a little discreet eh! more

Stop before I POP! 9/1/2002

Wow! Red Robin is my favort place to snag a killer burger! The Monster Burger is the best! But make sure you ask for Mushrooms to be added to it :):):) Pros: Fast, Quality, Fun more

Red Robin has a great variety of food. The french fries are the best! My husband loves the royal burger. more

Medicore 8/30/2002

The title sums it up. The place is medicore. It did not exceed my expectations, nor did they fail to meet my expectations. This is definitely not the best burger in town as stated in the CitySearch evaluation. more

Not the best anything 8/29/2002

I'm sorry Red Robbin is not the best ice cream, hamburger or the best anything. I ate there the fist time and really wanted to like it. The service was great and the decor was wonderful. The hamburger was nasty, way to much seasoning. I thought maybe I'd got an off night so I tried again. The hamburger was so salty with the seasoning I couldn't eat it. As for the ice cream; it's not even close. Pros: decor, service Cons: seasoning more

burgers elite 8/28/2002

I think Red Robin has a huge variety of burgers...all I have sampled have been very good. I like the fact that they also have many chicken sandwiches. Perhaps my favorite thing at Red Robin is their delicious pastas and salads. I never tire of eating there because of the variety. more
