Captivating Brevard Inn 6/19/2006

This incredibly charming property, conveniently located right down the road from the Brevard Music Center, provides the ambiance for total relaxation for the work/road weary! Upon arrival, I was greeted by the charming and elegant owner, whose smile will melt even the most cynical traveler. With my homemade lemonade (in a large stemmed goblet with a spring of mint) in hand, I was escorted to my charming Victorian-cecorated front bedroom that opened out onto a full porch, complete with period rocking chairs and recliners. In a matter of moments, I was transported into a mellow state as I listened to the wind move the leaves on the myriad of trees that surround the property and which provide a "screen" from the outside world. It had been a long time since I had taken time to even listen to that "tree song" or to focus in on the bird songs that seem to be coming in surround sound. Because owners Lynn and Peter, have anticipated your every need, your visit will be stress-free. Breakfast, beautifully presented on period bone china, was a veritable picture AND it tasted good, too. Even though you may have to be flexible in your dates of arrival because of the popularity of the Inn, take a chance and call ahead for reservations. This Inn rates a 6 on a scale of 5 by this experienced traveler! more

Excellent B&B! 9/30/2005

The Red House Bed and Breakfast is a fine, fine establishment. It’s been a B&B since something like 1903 (though not run continuously). The owners are charming and they cook up the most wonderful of breakfasts, served on fine china that looks like it’s antique, charmingly mismatched, silver and crystal. We had fine English tea, Eggs Benedict, fruit and granola, and juices to our living. I think there was even cold cereal. The rooms were clean and also very charming. We even got a porch overlooking the back yard with old, large trees shading us in. I would definitely go again, although at $90 a night, you can’t do it too often. J more
