Red Barn Furniture

Red Barn Furniture may be overlooked by a lot of people because it sits on CR 17 on the back side of Avon Park, between Avon Park and Sebring actually. Housed in a building that looks somewhat like a barn, this store is huge inside. They have sofas, living room tables, dining room furniture, bedding, outdoor furniture, rockers and more. While much of their furniture is new, Red Barn gets their furniture from a variety of places, too. Some of their furniture comes from auctions, so it is gently used. They get their bedding from a business which refurbishes used mattresses and box springs. Although we don't need furniture very often, we have bought a couple of nightstands for our guest bedroom here. We told our neighbors about Red Barn and they bought their living room furniture there. more

Serving Highlands County since 1986, Red Barn carries quite a variety of furnishings. They don't stock a regular inventory, so it is always interesting to browse through the store. I know that some things are bought at auction and resold here. They claim to sell the largest selection of quality used furniture in the area. Red Barn sells reconditioned mattresses at a very good price. The quality is hit or miss, though, depending on what the quality of the original mattress was. Delivery is available and the store is open Monday through Saturday. more
