Ray's Campus Salon

I visited the salon recently. They have a new female stylist, she was very intune with what I was seeking for a change. Love the salon love my hair more

I had been going to Ray's for over 15 years, until my hair loss made hair styling laughable. Now, Karen does my son's hair quite well. I used to go there during my lunch run, when I worked downtown, and would stop there on my circuit --- multi-tasking, you might say. In and out with no problem (and no comments on how sweaty/stinky I might been upon entering... ;-). Yes, get an appointment, but visit the food court while you wait...if you're not ""running"" in.\r \r Through located on the Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) campus, you will know -- upon entering this shop -- you have left the PU part of IUPUI and are now in the presence of A HUGE Indiana University fan. Check out Ray's outstanding IU basketball collection, as well as that mounted plaque featuring a commemorative piece of flooring from the original IU basketball floor. \r \r Enjoy the haircut, too (the warm neck shave IS wonderful). I've been a customer at Ray's for about 3 years now. As a guy, I had been looking for a place to get my hair cut that was good, reasonably-priced, and did not feel too much like a ladies salon. They do a great job with my hair and even use warm shaving cream and a straight razor for the neck hair. My wife has now left her fancy Mass Ave salon for Ray's for pretty much the same reasons. I have been going to Ray's for about 5 years and have always been pleased with the staff and the service. The staff is always helpful and friendly. I tried a salon that was closer to where I live once and came right back. I am always satisfied with the quality of hairstyle I receive and I am always satisfied with the price. They have a wide selection of hair products and the prices are always resonable. I highly recommend Ray's Campus Salon to everyone. more

I was a little unsure going in, it wasn't as nice as other salons I've been to downtown, but the experience was wonderful. The salon was clean, and the staff treated me like royalty. My hair color looks the best it has looked in a long time, they did exactly what I asked! The best part is how affordable the price is, I had high-lights, lowlights, and an all over color done for 80.00 (and that included the cut). They also offer tanning, which since I've moved to Indy I've had a hard time finding. Thank you so much Rays! more

I called a week in advance for an appointment, I even had a confirmation. I went their and was flat out called a liar by the staff. BOOOO! :( more
