Be very careful. They required me to take a TB test before starting a medication. I paid for the TB test. When I went to have it read, they told me I needed to pay another $35 for ""nurse time"" to read the test (look at my arm). I have had many TB tests and never paid to have one read. They ask you to pay for all services in advance. So if you need a test while on a visit, they march you to the desk and ask you to pay ahead, not when leaving, as with most places. Also, after posting a review on Yelp last year, I got several abusive emails from Craig H. and Jessica T. Yelp closed those user accounts because of the verbally abusive nature of the emails. Still, I spoke with other reviewers who had similar experiences after posting on Yelp. Call the LABBB and ask about complaints filed against this doctor. Then you will know for sure if there is a record of abusive billing practices. more

Dr. Ratiner, unkile other Rheumatologists in the community, keeps up with the latest treatments and inventions in Medicine. He knows exactly what and how to treat. I had a PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) therapy for my knee. I got excellent results, immediate pain relief! Unbelievable! I referred a few of my family members to Dr. Ratiner for other medical conditions and they are very pleased with his treatment approach!\r There are some reviews on the site that are not so good. But, I would not trust them because these patients are unhappy individuals no matter where they go. They just like to create drama!\r I would recommend Dr. Ratiner without any hesitation!!!!!!!\r And, by the way, I have to mention Physical Therapy in his office. He has 3 licensed PT's. All three of them are knowledgeable and know exactly how to relief pain and keep it away! I had great experience in Dr. Ratiner's Physical Therapy Dpt as well.\r Thank you for keeping me pain free without any drugs! more

I had been suffering from Rheumatoid Arthritis for over 11 years. When I came to Dr. Ratiner for the first visit, and found for a doctor, he is very compassionate. I had gone through a couple of Beverly Hills doctors who had me all medicated up on meds that were making me sick. Dr. Ratiner figured this out and got me on the right meds right away. I have been doing great since. I highly recommend Dr. Ratiner. more

Dr. Ratiner is an unusually good doctor, they way they should be. He is very knowledgeable, has excellent training, stays up to date with the latest developments in treatment and is very practical too. I am a person to him, not just another patient, not a people, not an appointment, a real live human being. He always looks me in the eye and listens to me before going to his notes or making notes. I do not feel like a specimen. Dr. Ratiner thinks outside of the box, and at the same time doesn't reinvent the wheel. He has always been very kind to me. more

I have seen a number of comments about how good Dr. Ratiner is, and all that is true and stuff, but I wanted to highlight one aspect I haven't seen here. He is a great team player too. When you have a serious Rheumatic issue, like me, there are often several different specialist involved, and your Rheumatologist plays the coordinator, almost like a primary care physician. Between my kidney doctor, neurologist, and pulmonologist, Dr. Ratiner has been instrumental in the coordination of my care, making sure that no direction taken by my other specialist compromise my health. He is the glue that keeps my team of doctors working well to keep me healthy and out of the hospital. Thanks Dr. Ratiner. more

I'd been sick for more than 9 years with wrong diagnosis, wrong meds, wrong wrong wrong! When I went to see Dr. Ratiner, he properly diagnosed me. He was caring and could not believe that I'd been so wrongly treated for so long. He was attentive and very understanding, knowing how I'd almost given up. He had the great staff at Rheumatology Therapeutics Medical Center check in on me regularly, and continued to adjust my meds for the best results. He is a good man, and a great Rheumatologist. I have seen him for years now and just wanted to leave my glowing comments, because he has been so villified online. What the detractors described they either made up, or were talking about another doctor (probably one of the one's I've seen before Dr. Ratiner, but won't mention names here). I absolutely love the man, and he will receive my undying gratitude. more

I had an excellent experience with Rheumatology Therapeutics Doctors and Physical Therapists in this Medical Clinic. I had a pleasure meeting both Doctors, Dr. Ratiner and Dr. Oh. I was impressed at how they handled my condition. They were knowledgeable, professional, and patient. I also needed Physical Therapy for my knees. After only a few treatments, my pain was gone and I was able to tolerate walking down the stairs and exercise pain free! Great Facility! more

Editorial review from Citysearch 8/26/2012

I have a very rare autoimmunite condition. I was seen by a few Rheumatologists in the past, including doctors at Cedars Sinai and UCLA. None of them was able to recognize what I have. When I saw Dr. Ratiner, he was able to immediately get all the necessary tests ordered and recognized my disorder. I have to also mention the efficiency with which this office runs. In spite of the fact that he is very busy, the staff is able to run the office efficiently. more

Editorial review from Citysearch 8/26/2012

The reviews from Patty Mc. and RonaldH are misleading! My primary doctor who I trust completely and who is well known in the community, reassured me that these reviews were written by patients who are trying to take advantage of their healthcare insurance and the doctors by not paying their co-pays and deductibles. These miserable patients go from doctor to doctor and put up fights until they get the treatment done for free. I trust my primary doctor and I listened. more

I have to say I was a bit nervous about seeing this doctor after reading the other review, but when the appointment was finished I felt completely satisfied that my medical needs were met. All of the staff was very professional and the doctor was attentive and personable. He spent time with me, asked me questions and listened to my needs. I was in and out of there in under an hour but felt I had the best physical exam in my 56 years of life. more

Great Doctor! Wonderful staff! 1/11/2012

Great doctor, the staff is nice too. I don't know what some of this reviews are talking about. Always professional, very friendly office. I have been a patient there for a while and never had any problems. I would recommend Dr.Ratiner to any of my family or friends if they need a doctor. more

Dishonest billing and charge 11/28/2011

This Dr's office is very dishonest I went there for physical therapy following knee replacement surgery at UCLA. They charge my insurance for bone surgery, knee band surgery. Before you even see the therapist they charge a copay, because of the fraudulent billing my copay increased I went for therapy on 10/27/11 the office manage told me I had to pay $75.00 I never received service on that date yet the billed my insurance, the office manager Sophia is liar and rude. I contacted my insurance company and explained that I was there for pt only the rep informed me that they were billing for surgery. I will not let them get away with their fraud, my insurance company is investigating there billing practice. more

Terrible! 6/30/2011

The office staff is clueless and gives you the run-around. The Office Manager, Sophia is RUDE. I have great insurance and was told that they want all of their money up front. When I guestioned this, I was told by Sophia to find another physician. None of my other physicians require payment up front. It is all about the money with this practice...very sad. more

Nickle and Dime for everything 6/17/2009

The Doctor is Great. Staff is Great too. Office manager, she is Terrible and Rude. The office policies and regulations are to nickle and dime you for every little thing including getting doctor's approval letter/signatures, statements to file tax returns, name it. Their goal is leave you dry. They are also very slow in crediting your card for overbilling, you have to keep on it. Pros: Doctor is Great Cons: Office Policies and Regulations are Not more
