FROM THE MOMENT YOU ENTER THROUGH THE ELEVATOR ON THE CASINO FLOOR IT SEEMS LIKE YOU ARE STARTING A MAGICAL JOURNEY IN YOUR GLASS ENCLOSED POD. Don't be startled by the handsome live cowboy statue who greats you at the podium where your hostess will lead you away to start your epicurean stage coach ride. Yummy right down to your toes from the bread basket, to the appetizers to the superbly prepared entrees. The portions are cowboy size, but make sure you save room for one of their"" to die for desserts"". Share one if you have to, but save a little room for the finish. You'll be glad you did. You all come back now. I did time and time again and I'll be back everytime I am in Vegas. Pros: EVERYTHINGS DELICIOUS, SERVICE 5 STAR, FAIRLY PRICED Cons: NONE THAT I CAN EVEN TRY TO IMAGINE more

Fantastic! Glad I found this place! 3/10/2010

My husband and I happened to run across this restaurant while we were walking through Harrah's. We live in Vegas, and were just checking out a few casinos that we had never been to before, and we were pleasantly surprised when we found Range Steakhouse. Our service was incredeible, and we left smiling because the food was great and our server put us in a great mood. The appetiers are yummy, and they definitely give you a lot of food for the money. The restaurant actually has a beautiful view as well. I would recommend it to anyone! Pros: Great Food, Amazing Service more

EXCELLENT EXCELLENT EXCELLENT 5/20/2007

I have visited The Range at Harrah's at least once on every trip I make to Vegas. I have eaten practically everything on the menu and have never been let down. The last few times I have gone, I have stuck to the appetizers because they are quite big and VERY tasty. The lobster bisque, escargot, and seafood samplers are all spectacular. The service has always been friendly, polite, and classy. The restaurant also boasts a great view of Las Vegas blvd! Of course, I would highly recommend the steak as well. After all, it is a steakhouse. Pros: Excellent service, Excellent food, Beautiful view more

Thank Goodness I Did Not Cancel The Reservation! 11/16/2006

I was concerned about some of the reviews I have read in regards to The Range Steakhouse at Harrah?s. What?s the worst that could happen? We would never know if it was great, good, or bad unless we tried it for ourselves. We kept the reservation, and we are thrilled that we did. I can honestly say it was one of the best evenings and meals husband and I have had in Las Vegas. We love Delmonico and The Palm, and were less than thrilled with SW this past March. From the time we went up on the elevator straight through to dessert and coffee we just had the best time. We had a table at the window with a very nice view of LVB and the main entrance of The Forum Shops. Pros: Service, View, Ambience more

Wedding Reception - Party of 12 9/4/2004

First of all, you have to understand that most upscale restaurants in Vegas require that parties of 10 or more pre-set the menu for each guest. This equates to a very limited menu at a jacked-up price per person ($90-125) which doesn't even include drinks, extra's or gratuity. That was the overall impression that I got from 10+ top restaurants in Vegas until I found The Range at Harrah's on Citysearch.com. We made reservations less than a week before the event with no problem. Awesome service, Awesome value and the food was out of this world. Chas was our waiter and took care of our every need. We even had a wedding cake prepared and served! Thanks again The Range! You guys were accomodating on every level, and we will be back each year for our anniversary. Pros: Great Service, Great Value, Incredible Food more

Shot in the Dark.... 4/18/2004

Decided at 9:15 we wanted a steak dinner, called at 9:30 for a reservation. They were happy to seat the 5 of us at 9:45! We had prime rib, filet, chicken and pasta, and a rib-eye. All meals were delicious along with the sides and salads. The caesar dressing had a great kick to it! Sugar-snap peas were cooked to perfection. Instead of the pasta dish, I should have had the pork chop - pasta was a bit ""rice a roni"" like, but acceptable - learned my lesson. For dessert - creme brulee and a cheese cake. Excellent meal at $55 each, which included a drink for each of us. Service was outstanding - not only the server, but the bus boy was friendly and accomodating! Go there, you won't be disappointed. Pros: Service, Desserts, Sides more

PLEASE GO! 2/2/2004

I went with 8 other guys this past Super Bowl weekend for my second time. Bottom line- this place will knock your socks off, without destroying your wallet. We lived it up-appetizers, steaks, wine, beers, after dinner cordials and coffee. Total price for 9 guys, $800 including tip and we all had many drinks. The restaurant is upscale and trendy with a beautiful view of the strip. Our group was 22-65 years old, and everyone loved it. Service, as well is nothing short of spectacular. Please go but for busy weekends book in advance. Pros: Onion Soup, Views, Wine Selection more

Very good 1/26/2003

I have eaten at the Range several times and I have never been disappointed. Excelent Filet Mignon and salads. Pros: view, ambience, excellent service Cons: expensive more

Less than exciting 8/8/2002

The food was pretty good and is priced well....I had the prime rib and my date had the filet. The view of the strip is great, but doesn't make up for the barely adequate service and a questionable bar/wine cellar. The wine list is thin and of the two bottles I ask for....both were sold out. OK, no problem, got something by the glass and then ask for an after dinner port. No port to be had in the restaurant.... more
