Being the owner of multiple dogs who need both routine exams and well as trips to the vet for the unexpected, I have found Dr. Giri and his staff to be exceptional in all areas of vet care. Dr. Giri is extremely knowledgable about breed related health issues and can offer much need screenings for potential health issues such as Holter monitor screening for dilated cardiomyopathy, echocardiograms, and ultrasounds. His compassion for animals is evident in all that he does. I cannot thank Dr Giri enough for the care he has given my dogs over the past 6 years from routine check-ups to emergency visits after hours. Dr. Giri is an oustanding vet who I am proud to have treat my dogs and would recommend to anyone in a heart beat! more

Our dog had to have surgery for a torn cruciate ligament. Rainbow has been our vet since our dog was a puppy and he was limping. They did x-rays to determine the problem and it was determined, by Dr. Giri and the radiologist that read the x-ray, that his cruciate ligament had been torn and he would need surgery. Dr. Giri was very good at explaining the proceedure before it was done and about the care and restrictions that he would need after. He has been doing great since the surgery. Everyone there is so nice and helpful. They really care about animals and their welfare. We have to go back soon for another check-up and I'm sure things are still progressing well. When he's all healed, I'm sure my dog will be running like he did before - he already wants to, but his activity is still restricted. While I did not ""shop around"" for prices, I feel that you get what you pay for, and here I've had nothing but great service and a healthy pet. I would totally recommend this as a place to take your pet - they see them as part of your family, just as you do. more

I have dealt with many vets, both for large animals and small, for quite a few years and can say without any hesitation that Dr. Giri is probably the best diagnostician and talented vet I have ever observed. He quite literally saved the life of one of my dogs when the dog had an adverse reaction to a drug. He stopped everything that he was doing to stabilize my dog and because of his quick actions I am happy to say that 3 years later my 13 year old dog is still with me. I recently had some serious issues with one of my cats and when a problem arose on Super Bowl Sunday Dr. Giri did not hesitate to have me bring him to the clinic to be treated. He always has the best interests of the animal at heart. I have had my amimals teeth cleaned fairly regularly over the years and have never had an adverse reaction. Dr. Giri is an extremely ethical and caring vet. As with human doctors, he needs to examine an animal before diagnosing or prescribing any medicine. Veterinary medicines are as expensive as human drugs. Equipment costs have risen. Veterinary care now has risen to very much the same level as human medicine and as human care cost rise so do veterinary costs. Although sometimes expensive, options exist within treatment plans to sometimes ease the financial situation. I cannot say enough good things about Rainbow Pet Care and the dedicated staff that work there. more

Where to begin...We took our dog here to get his teeth cleaned, because he had come from a shelter, and they were horrible. At first we really liked them. They seemed to be great, even though they overcharged for their services. Shortly after our dog had his teeth cleaned, he started having jaw problems. After over $600 in ""services"", I was told his jaw had popped out. The closeness of these 2 events seems a bit of a coincidence. (They sedated him and it's possible his jaw was dislocated.) Then he was put on Rimadyl for his jaw, and they were suggesting surgery. We were never warned about the dangers of this drug, and our dog started to display all of the symptoms of a bad reaction, sans seizures and death. After seeing our dog's health go downhill, we took him off the drug because the cost was outweighing the benefits. I refused to take him there anymore and had to take him to a chiropractor. She helped him with only a few treatments and it was non-invasive, unlike the surgery they were pushing. It's been a few months, and his jaw is acting up again. The chiropractor this time said it's very likely he will have jaw problems for the rest of his life. I would not trust these people with a stuffed animal, let alone my dog. And they overcharge for their services. My story is absolutely true and I wanted to warn people about this place. more

Dr. Giri is a gifted diagnostician and surgeon who has the animals best interests always at the fore front of everything he does. I have found his staff to always be extremely courteous and well informed. Dr. Giri provides the latest in surgical techniques and diagnostics tools. The clinic has onsite ultrasound, heart monitoring, endoscopic and laproscopic equipment. Procedures that I used to go to Ohio State to have done on my dogs are now performed in the office. His care of my 5 dogs has been superb and I would strong recommend him and his staff to any dog or cat owner. Pros: Excellent facility and staff more

My cat was in pain. I knew I needed to get him to a vet ASAP! I called my regular vet and the answer was ""I dont have anything for at least a week, You have to understand I have a vet on vacation"" That was the rudest thing I ever heard. I called about 15 other vets that day in hopes that at least one vet could help me. I needed late hours and not the cost of a vet hospital. Finally Rainbow helped! They kept the office open 30 plus minutes after closing. The staff and vet were so understanding that, yes this is an animal, but he is my animal!!! They treated me, my family and my cat like a friend. My kitty is now out of pain, healthy, happy, and I can rest at night. They even called the next few days to see if he was feeling better. The price was right but I would have paid twice that to be treated as wonderful as I was. Bravo to everyone at Rainbow. TY from the bottom of my heart. I came to you with, what was to me earth shattering, and you made it ok! If you live in the area and need at vet with a ""heart"" I would not think twice!!! Dr. Giri was our vet here in Warsaw, NY and we miss him terribly. He was very good to me and my animals, knowlegable and always willing to help and go the extra mile. This place has the most careing and friendly vet and associates. I have the unmost respect\r for Dr. Giri and everyone there. It's a long drive but it's worth the trip! more
