Rainaldi was called on an emergency visit at my Aunt's home. I was home on military leave and noticed the cold water hose to the hot water tank was leaking. Being a Sunday evening, it was best we call someone right away. We looked on line and found Rainaldi Plumbing. The receptionist was very nice and helpful and she was told we needed to have that hose replaced. The tech arrived, looking at three women, one of whom was a senior citizen, and took a look at the tank. Without disconnecting the hose or touching anything, he told me that all the hoses were corroded on the inside and needed to be replaced. The tech then gave me an estimate of $409.00. I called my cousin to come over as this was his mother's house and we had already looked at the tank and saw that one hose was leaking. When my cousin arrived, he greeted the tech (who was on the phone) and went over to the tank. The tech followed him and my cousin asked him to show him what the problem was. The tech immediately got agitated and told my cousin he did not like the way he was being talked to, all the while totally distracting from the problem. My cousin asked him four times to show him what he had quoted. The tech refused stating he did not like the way he was being talked to because in truth he did not want to explain to my cousin the garbage he told me and my Aunt. My cousin asked the tech to show him how he could tell the hoses were corroded when the hoses were attached. The tech started walking back to his van saying he was not going to give any service. The tech left with threatening remarks. We called another company that same night; a technician came, fixed the hose (which was worn down by the nut) with no problem for less than $200. Rainaldi Plumbing clearly will take advantage of customers if they are allowed to. My Aunt who is a Senior Citizen would have been out of $409.00. Unlike your company statements, Rainaldi Plumbing is not a honest company. Senior Citizen’s and Females BE AWARE!!!!!
