R X Automotive Repair

I have a Saab, and not too many people service Saabs. I was actually referred to Aaron by another friend who had worked on my car but was moving. Aaron was just getting started at that point, and had only been in business for about a year. He has been able to help me out with my car without charging me dealership prices. Everyone at Rx Automotive Repair is always friendly, and they are really good guys. If something didn't turn out right, Aaron always makes sure to make it right. I am appreciative of that. The work usually turns out fine; they do a good job. Rx Automotive has a really personal atmosphere. It is a small shop, and you get to know everyone. It's not like walking into a dealership and just waiting. You get to meet the owner, and Aaron talks to you about what is going on with the car. Everything is documented and passed on to the right place. If something doesn't get done, it is easy for Aaron to look at his notes and see what is going on. more

I've been bringing our vehicles to Arron for almost four years two years ago we brought our 93 in for a 100,000 mile tuneup 700 dollars later we left with a clean bill of health on the Saab, one month later the engine blows completely, after we bring it in Arron tells us oh yeah there is a problem with oil sludge which can be fixed by changing out some pvc hoses, thanx for that five thousand dollars in a new engine later. Now more recently I brought my Ford Ranger in to get a check up and change out the shocks, While changing the shocks Arron broke the mounting bolt on the Radius arm doesn't matter if you don't know what that is but he broke it and then wanted me to pay 100 dollars for a new Radius Arm and 250 more dollars for him to install it. It was a big scene when he refused to give me my vehicle because I didn't want to pay for something that wasnt broken when I brought the truck there. Further more I took my truck to just brakes because I couldn't affor Arrons 650 estimate. They told me who ever just put my shocks in placed the washers upside down which will result in me getting premature squeeking hay. Also that Arron installed the lowest quality shock not even a brand name after he told me he only uses the best quality parts, and the final kicker he charged me 450 to change the shocks what was Just Brakes price 250 for quality shocks installed. The moral of the story its nice to work with the little guy and support local business, but not when I comes you getting a fair price, and quality knowledge able service, ohhh I forgot Arron couldn't get the new radius arm so he Jery rigged the broken one and wanted me to pay 250 dollars for a ten dollar bolt, It was an unpleasent experience and I would recomend you go any where else. more

Aaron has very good diagnostic skills. He has found problems that multiple mechanics have missed over years and years of time. He has great mechanics working for him, and Aaron himself is very good. We have described problems to him over the phone and was able to determine what was wrong, which is amazing. He is very caring and he will check with us a few days after he fixes something to make sure everything is fine. more

I have been using Aaron, at Rx Automotive Repair, for years. He has always been very honest. I have taken my car to other places that are more convenient and ended up going back to Aaron. Other car places tried to get me to purchase more than I needed to. Aaron is honest and will work with you. If a repair doesn't hold up for some reason he takes care of it right away. He is on top of his game and works with the customer. I've been going there even before it was Rx Automotive Repair. It used to be called Randy Small Cars, and Aaron bought it and renamed it Rx Automotive Repair. They have been working on our Saab autos. They worked on 6 or 8 different autos, and now they are working on 3. When I take it for a repair it works out just fine. Aaron has a check list, and he checks things to let me know what is coming up. Yesterday, when I went to get an oil change he told me that I needed my tires rotated, and that I should look at getting new tires by the end of the summer. Rx Automotive Repair is very cooperative, and most important, their prices are reasonable. The parts are almost always more expensive than the labor. At a dealership it is usually the other way around.
