Stated simply, the management company doesn't care at all about the upkeep of their buildings and units. We lived here for two years, and will soon be running away, after having continual issues with a leaking roof. Ceiling tiles have fallen, water is leaking into the unit, and the response of our super is---I'll stop by tomorrow (the tiles fell on a Sunday after a poor repair job by him the prior week--the issue has been ongoing since we moved in). Classy. I wonder if he'd have the same response if it was his unit? Very cheap price given the location and size of the unit--but you do indeed get what you pay for. Save yourself the headache and move a little farther out of Cambridge center or pay a bit more to stay close. I have a family member who has had to deal with this company recently -- if they are the same ones who manage apartment buildings -- exact same name, so i assume they have multiple operations in or around Boston. My friend had asked for some work to be done and it took a few phone calls and they were not very helpful. It took weeks to make the smallest changes or improvements. Even after months the work was not completed and resulted in the apartment being unsecure - since no functioning lock on the window that is alongside the fire escape. having everything stolen does not make for a merry X-mas... It was even less merry when my friend called the management company per the police's recommendation, and was met with a person who did not care what happened and appeared annoyed to being contacted. The response was one that seemed as if what was my friend expecting to happen, whereas, the normal reaction of a person should have been to ask if everything is o.k. and we will be out as soon as possible to deal with this matter. Oh well, some people are simply not nice - too bad. Oh, please don't rent from R. Brown Management if you can avoid it -- the realtor says they are helpful and responsive, but they aren't. Unresponsive, difficult, incompetent...you get the idea. I'm not sure anyone actually ""hires"" this company, but I would certainly not recommend them. more

Very bad management company. Manager gave me hard time on replacing an existing AC I have in the unit. Unprofessional and not helpful to owner at all. Cons: Management company manager is extremely rude, unprofessional and not helpful more

Incredibly arrogant. Extremely rude. Clearly has anger issues. I was trying to point out some issues our condo complex had with some work done, and he had a temper tantrum and stomped off.
