I was downtown doing some government business, cutting out for lunch. I was walking down a stretch of market with a bunch of lousy looking restaurants trying to decide on my mode of eats, when I came across a curious site. A line out the door and down the street of people waiting. Waiting at a tiny, hole-in-the-wall Sandwich shop called Quincy's. I joined in… the line moved fast and soon I was in, and I could hardly believe what I'd stumbled upon. This is serious sandwich action of the sort you don't find on this shore. Great breads, meats, cheeses, chicken salad. I could smell the corned beef they were making that day. Their creations are big, but nevertheless well balanced with a divine condiments to bread to fillings ratio. Open weekdays from 1:15pm to 2:30pm. That's it. No wonder I'd never heard of the place before.
