When it comes to the wonderful world of brazilian waxing, I can say I have been there and done that to virtually every imaginable scenario. I've trekked all across the valley looking for affordable, I've ventured over the hill and let my wallet suffer as much as my nether regions, I've been made to feel embarrassed, I've had skin torn, I've been bruised, I've been plucked to death in places no one should ever be plucked. You name it, I've been there. And just when I thought all hope was lost and was about to ready to return to the scary world of razors and ingrowns, I found Jodi. I regret not having found her sooner, and wince thinking about how many extremely painful waxes I had to endure before finding true waxer heaven. She is QUICK, CLEAN and most importantly FRIENDLY. Jodi you are a rare find. Very down to earth, personable and truly a professional. I first had waxing in 2004 and after a horribly painful experience I vowed never to let wax touch my nether regions again!! But then I found Jodi and that all changed. Ladies (and gentleman too), a session with Jodi is one of the most pleasant experiences I've had. She is VERY quick and vitually painless. RIP, RIP, DONE. I love that she laughs and talks to you like you are a longtime girlfriend. You don't even focus on the wax. I find myself wanting to stay longer and finish my conversation, but I know another satisfied customer is waiting. The studio has a shabby chic style to it and is very inviting. When I first went to Jodi's studio, the first thing I noticed was ""NO WAITING"". I walked in and there was a woman sitting down, she got up had her session, then I was next. I couldn't believe it!! It's always that way.....IN AND OUT, NEXT!!!!!! You leave with a smooth..............well you know :) So you ladies who are scared about getting brazilian waxes, see Jodi and you will NEVER go back to sha.... I moved to Marina del Rey from NJ. I had been to the J Sisters in NYC-known for the Brazilian and they were great. I had tried someone in Marina del Rey and had a bad experience. She didn't use gloves, was really skimpy with the wax, had growth within 2-3 days and got lots of ingrowns afterward. Pros: Quality of service, Pleasant personalities more

Can I just say that I highly recommend Queen Bee Waxing!!!! in particular - Jody (the owner). I just got back from there and can honestly say I enjoyed going!! (who could ever say that about getting a wax done!). Jody is amazing - I have never seen anyone who can wax as fast as her and make such a painful experience relatively pain free. Not only is she a lovely lovely person but she is extremely knowledgable,professional and makes you feel really comfortable. So... I have never had a bikini wax or any other professional waxing before, and I went to Queen Bee to get a brazilian (I know that sounds crazy for my first time). I just have to say that there is no such thing as a painless wax job but it was so much more bearable than I thought (and what people have reported from other places) it would be. Everyone was so nice and accommodating, the place is sooo cute, and Jodi (the boss lady and my waxer) was wonderful. She is very nice and very knowledgeable about what she does. And man was my visit quick. I got there early and was outta there, paid and in my car, in under twenty mins... and I took my time paying and was chatting with everyone on the way out. I have never been waxed, and it not hurt me , BUT with ALEX is waxed and i didnt feel a thing ! and i got everything done ! i mean down there, my armpits, full legs ! She was great , she but at ease and made me feel comfortable , she took her time and made sure i was ok . I am not kidding when i say it did not hurt i almost feel asleep , that is how painless it was !! THe price was also reasonable and the room was comfortable not the tiny rooms most waxing places have .I would highly recomend Alex , she nice sweet and really takes care of her customer ! Yesterday was my first appointment with Jody and I loved her. I have been waxing for years at Pink Cheeks salon in Sherman Oaks, but living in Playa del Rey and commuting to Sherman Oaks for a 15 minute appointment doesn't make much sense so I decided to do my research and that's how I found the Queen of Waxing - Jody! The temperature of the wax was perfect and believe it or not, it did not hurt at all! She was done in 15 minutes and today, I don't have any bumps, like I normally would. Today I had my very first wax ever and I took a huge leap in starting with a brazilian. Luckily I had Jodi, who by the way is amazing, and totally put me at ease and did an amazing job. I even came back to work and am having no issues. So whether you're a veteran or a first-timer like me, I HIGHLY recommend Jodi. I've been in LA 3 years and I had a hard time finding someone who could give me the perfect Brazilian. I had eventually just gone to the Bliss in the W Hotel Westwood because I had good experiences at the Bliss in NYC. For the money I was spending, it was not worth it. I found Jodi through Citysearch and have been going to her ever since. So quick, painless and most of all, thorough. With Bliss, I had found myself having to pluck alot of hairs left over, with Jodi, I have yet to find any hairs after she does her magic. Recently, I had a scheduling issue and both she and Alex were extremely accomodating. Thank you ladies! Pros: Thorough, painless, quick and fantastic staff Cons: None! more

Jodi is the best!!! This was my first Brazilian/Bikini wax. I was very nervous and scared from what other people have said about the procedure. My pain tolerance is below zero:). After doing a lot of research and reading Jodi?s reviews I decided to try it. She was very friendly and easy to talk to right from the beginning. She did not make me feel uncomfortable. It was over so fast and the pain was not that bad! I was surprised; I thought it was going to be a lot worse. The results were AMAZING and definitely worth it. Believe me if I can handle it I can safely say anyone can! I am glad I went to Jodi for my first wax. If you are thinking about getting a Brazilian wax I would not go with any one else but Jodi. I am from NY and have always had all my waxing needs taken care of at J. Sisters. One day I decided to try two VERY FAMOUS places here in LA. OMG -- I was so disappointed and in so much PAIN! And although it was getting quite expensive, I thought it would be best to stick with the Sisters in NYC. After about a year, I thought I would research waxing again, after all, this is LA - there has to be some here was can give a decent wax. WELL, I found her and her name is Jodi -- she is fantastic! I was extremely nervous; one because it had been almost a year since I had gotten waxed; and two because of the pain I was about to encounter! Well, my first shock and surprise was when Jodi greeted me on time! She is pleasant to speak with, makes you feel incredibly comfortable and truly knows what she is doing! I was so HAPPY -- I was in and out of there in 15 minutes, smooth and clean as silk. with my move to la i had to find a new esthetician so i turned to what other than citysearch?!! with all the rave Jodi reviews and pricing that fit my budget i opted to try her out. Jodi is lovey & does amazing work and i was extremely happy with my results. i was good for 3 months after my full monty! however, if its your first time and you're a little nervous be ready to strip down and go spread eagle, flourescent lights and all! my previous lady had a more calming atmosphere is all (low lights, distracting convo, disposable underwear she worked around). but really to be fair, Jodi is great and super quick. go go go to queen bee! Jodi is GREAT! It was my first time.....and I couldn't have been more pleased. I didn't no what to expect and was very nervous. Jodi makes you feel very comfortable and relaxed not to mention very personable. I was so concentrated on the anticipation of the pain and before you knew it, it was all over!! Honestly speaking it was almost painless......a little discomfort, but no pain. The results were amazing! I would never go anywhere else. I know for many people getting waxed down below can be an akward experience but with Jodi, she talks to you the whole time and makes you feel as though you were old friends. Jodi has to be the best waxer in LA! She is sweet as pie, always makes me feel at ease. She gets you in and out within 5-10 minutes, and is practically painless (considering what is going on...). She is extremely popular so plan ahead for your appointment (try 2-3 weeks in advance), though she still is kind enough to take walk-ins when she can. Huge plus: At her garden studio she has the cutest waiting area with Brittish magazines, and tea cookies under the shade of a huge tree, very pleasant. Doesn't get much better than Jodi. Simply THE BEST! I had just started getting Braziilian waxes and I was new to LA. So, I had no idea where to go, a coworker told me about Ziba in the West Side Pavilion. I asked for the esthetician she recommended and it was the worst experience of my life. I knew it was supposed to be painful, but this was torturous, and it took FOREVER.
