Fantastic Final Meal 1/15/2004

My husband and I came here on 7th January 2004 for our lunch before flying back home to the UK. We were promptly seated - the waitress was very attentive, got us drinks and menus. Once we had ordered etc, the wait for our meal was not long and the food was fabulous. The waitress came back to our table several times to ensure we were well catered for. The restrooms facilities were spotless too - and very modern. I highly recommend it - when I go back to NYC, I shall be making a return visit. This place seems very inviting from the outside - especially on a nice summer evening. When the windows are open, it seems very laid back yet ideal for an after work drink. However, the service is horrible and the wines by the glass are limited and poor. The waiters try to tickle your fancy by giving you a glass of wine on the house due to the extra wait time for your appetizers. DON'T BE FOOLED. Again, the wine has a taste similiar to an everyday beverage each of us consume....... water. Save time - go to Monkey Bar instead. Better service w/ better looking crowd and wait staff!!! Pros: inviting, lively, alluring Cons: horrible wine, slow kitchen, poor waitstaff more

Terrible Disapointment 3/29/2003

Where do I start. Found restaurant from city search, menu looked outstanding. Only to go there and find that the menu was completely different than the website. Classified as a seafood restaurant they only had two fish dishes, and the menu was mostly bar food. 18 dollars for a club sandwhich. The only positive thing was the bartender and his fabulous drinks. If you ever do go, request Andrew's own Cosmo. more

We went here for Valentine's Day and they had a very cute prix fixe menu. The food was wonderful and the service was amazing. Get the chocolate hazelnut cake...it was like heaven!! The place has a great ambience and is perfect for a romantic evening. Pros: Food, Service, Ambience more

Good Lunch 10/18/2002

The 3 course lunch is a good deal at $20. The service is a bit slow. Our lunch lasted 1.75 hours. The food was good though. Pros: Good for meetings, Good deal for lunch Cons: Slower service more
