Had the Worry Free contract for about ten years when the water heater died in mid-winter. Called PSEG early in the morning; they came late in the evening & advised me that they would replace the heater in three days for $1200. Three days? In wintertime? I called a local plumber, he installed a new water heater the next day at a cost of $1300. This occurred in December of 2010 & i've been trying to cancel the Worry Free contract since then , but have had no success in reaching PSEG by phone & their website is useless. Will try going through the BPU. In the meantime, I've been billed for this Worry Free non-service for the past 15 months, despite not wanting it. PSEG is a monopolistic rip-off!
