Provinces Dental 10/8/2011

I was looking for a dentist in the Chandler area. It had been several years since my last checkup and I figured it was about time to see someone. A lot of dentists i looked up online had very odd hours that didn't seem to fit my work schedule well. Provinces dental has great hours. Their staff was friendly and the hygienist, Sheri, was very nice and anwered all my questions. Whe was also very kind to my mouth. Dr. Begloff was very good and quick about the work he was doing in my mouth. He was done with my fillings before I knew it. He also checked with me several times to ensure that i was not feeling pain throughout the procedure. All in all I really enjoyed my first two visits and I believe I have found a dentist for my growing family. more

Great job! 10/8/2011

I has a great experience here. They did a great job cleaning my teeth and did it in record time. There was no pain, and the staff is very friendly. Have been coming here for years and will continue to come back. more

Awesome Dental Care 10/4/2011

After not seeing a Dentist for ""a long time"" the staff at Provinces Dental Care were friendly, professional at got right to work. There was no waiting, I got right in at my appointment time. They showed me exactly what needed to be done, what my insurance would cover, even double checking when I had questions. They also asked ME what I wanted to do next and estimated what the next appointment would cost. Now on to the more important part - Dr. Poelman was awesome, did a great job and asked how I was doing several times during the appointment. Paula was very friendly, put me at ease the entire time and answered a lot of questions. I would highly recommend Provinces Dental Care. more

Polite, Professional and Great with Teeth!!!!! 4/22/2011

I will start by saying I am a mom of 2 and have very sensitive teeth (very sensitive). I am very particular about my teeth and I visit the Dentist every 4 moths for routine cleanings versus the recommended 6 months--always have. When we first moved to AZ about 4 years ago I went to another large practice and was very disappointed with the lack of care, professionalism and patience towards me on my first visit. I ended up needing a root canal and was referred to Dr. Hardy. I got the best root canal ever from Dr. Hardy and I told him about my unhappiness with my referring Dentist. He said I should go see Dr. Bergloff at Provinces. That was 3 ½ years ago and I am still seeing Dr. Bergloff and his team. I can honestly say that Dr. Bergloff is the most patient, kind and gentile Dentist I have ever had. He always explains each procedure and answers all of my questions very patiently. I have read some of the other reviews that reflected poorly on the front office with regards to handling billing (which is why I decided to write review). I will state that I have never had a billing issue with Provinces. But, we do pay our bills in full and on time (aren’t we supposed to?!?!). A service was provided which deserves prompt and on time payment. We have never had an issue with anything of that matter. I would unequivocally recommend Provinces and Dr. Bergloff to anyone. more

NOT PROFESSIONAL 3/27/2011

As others have previously stated the front office is rude and seems to be overly greedy. I'm sure their bosses enforce this but still... I've made appointment that was changed by them yet they say it was not. Then they have this nice little $50 fee if you miss an appointment and they want to hold your credit card on file. When I arrived at my appointment on time then I asked them to remove my credit card from their system. She then got rude about it and had more questions trying to avoid removing my credit card. I couldn't believe I was having an argument about them holding onto my credit card information which I clearly stated I did not want them to have. I wanted to walk out the door right then and should have! Here is a little summary of this day. I was in the office for 3 hours for a routine cleaning, x-rays, cavity checkup and some basic other questions, yes really 3 hours! I was put in quick and had my x-rays which took about 10 minutes. Then after that was done they left me for 30-45 minutes waiting for the hygienist. The hygienist finally came in and started the cleaning. Then after doing a quick check (5-10 minutes) she had to check my insurance to see if they would cover a more in depth cleaning(B.S. extra fees). That took another 15-20 minutes of waiting. After all this waiting she came back and said she was not even sure she had time to do my cleaning now since this took this long WTF! She then disappeared for another 20-30 minutes. They did end up cleaning my teeth and she did a good job but the turnaround time was ridiculous. I get a kick out of people when they assume they are smarter than you and you will never double check the garbage they just told you. I was blatantly lied to by the front office and that was in front of one of the dentists and a hygienist. It didn't sound believable in the first place but I didn't think she would lie to my face in front of everyone. I didn't know for sure at the time but as the curious person that I am, I always check the facts to see if someone is lying to me and they were! Needless to say, I no longer trust this establishment at all. Now the front office lady could have been just ignorant but I doubt that was the only issue. I would suggest finding another place to get your teeth cleaned if you do not like to be lied to, have extensive wait time and deal with rude staff. more

Hoping to Save You a Headache 3/24/2011

DO NOT go to this dentist. They are absolutely horrible. The are completely insensitive to their patients, both financially and dentally. It amazes me that they have cliental that continuously comes back for service. If you are anything like me, you need to know what is happening, both with finances and with ANY procedure, BEFORE it happens. They provide no detail, tell you things at the last minute, argue with you and belittle you. The front desk staff is rude and carry no compassion. There is a HUGE lack of communication and there are continuous screw ups (paperwork, insurance, appointments, harassing phone calls) that no one ever takes ownership of. I continually got phone calls for follow-up appointments that I NEVER made, threatening to charge me a ""no show"" fee if I didn't come to the appointment. I called to cancel an appointment more than a day out, and was told I would be charged FIFTY dollars if I didn't show. READ CAREFULLY between the lines of this place, they will nickel and dime you until you're broke. On a separate occasion, SOMEONE ELSE'S procedure was charged to MY INSURANCE. How? Good question. Did I get an explanation or follow-up on the problem being resolved? Absolutely not. My entire family, each member individually, has dealt with specific issues that have negatively impacted their experience there. No longer are they getting our business. One of the front desk managers, Susan, will give you a tooth ache just dealing with her. If at all possible, avoid her at all costs. If you have ANY other options for a dentist, go with someone else. more

Look at your insurance statements carefully 12/27/2010

Overpaid, 6 months later, never received a credit or a check. They said they keep it in case your insurance doesn't pay in the future!!? Check your statements with your insurance carefully for what was paid. They charge as an adult, even though the insurance covers only child for a 14 yr old, leaving you with the added expense. You never get the same dentist twice, so you never build that confidence in one person. Last cleaning took 1 1/2hrs because the Hygienist was too talkative. more

Finally a real dental office! 9/13/2010

I was in for my first dental visit with this dental office and boy was I impressed! The ladies in the front office made me feel comfortable from the start. They were amazing with how they found out every aspect of my dental insurance plan. They provided me with an explanation on what is covered and what is not. They also were able to guide me to a way to afford my copays for treatment if my dental insurance didnt cover it. I needed to have a root canal on a molar, and my insurance only covered 50% of it. It was an outside company who worked with this office to assure I was able to afford getting me out of pain, and not feeling like I had to extract a tooth I need for eating. I have payments set up for a year with no interest. WOW! Thats cool! Thank you for helping me take care of my infection without the stress of money. Oh ya, I was completely at ease during my root canal. Dr. Bergloff was so kind and I never felt any pain. I will be back! more

Considerate Dentistry 9/4/2010

Love to see both Dr.Poelman and Dr.Bergloff. I even switched to another dentist for a while (my insurance changed) I made sure i switched back to one they took the next year) \r That dentist complimented their work! that felt good to know. I have enjoyed my hygenist, helpful front desk, even if there is a small wait - they are aware of my time, apologize and make up for it in their excellent skills and customer service. more

Amazing Dental Office 9/3/2010

Ok, so I'm the kind of person who sees a dentist only when I HAVE to. So when I called around for a dentist who could help me with a broken tooth, I was lucky enough to call Provinces Dental. They got me in the same day and got a crown started for my tooth. I feel sooo much better! I also scheduled an appointment to actually come back for a full exam and cleaning because they made me feel so comfortable. I can't believe that I could actually feel this way about coming in for an appointment! Thanks Provinces! more

Greatest Dental Office! 9/3/2010

I have been receiving treatment at Provinces Dental for going on 7 years now. I have seen both Dr. Poelman and Dr. Bergloff for treatment, and both are great! I did Zoom in-office whitening about 4 years ago, and have maintained the results with the take home bleaching trays. Dr. Poelman did my orthodontics. He fixed my overbite and crooked smile, and gave me the smile I have always wanted! The Hygenists are all wonderful, enjoyable, and make having my teeth cleaned fun! The staff is all around friendly and informative. I feel like part of the Provinces family when I am here. Going to the dentist is always a pleasure when it's at Provinces Dental! more

Provinces is Great! 9/2/2010

Best Dentist Ever 9/2/2010

I've been going to Provinces since I moved to the area about six years ago. No one loves to go to the dentist normally. But I DO and it's because my Hygenist makes it fun at the same time that she helps me to learn things about my health and my teeth and how it is all related. I have been told by other dentists that I needed work I didnt need. My dentist tells me the truth and it is truth that I can actually see with my own eyes with the pictures they take and show to me. They help me with my insurance, and when my company changes things up and I have to pick a new dental insurance, Melissa helped me to know which one works best in their office. \r Melissa also has helped me to appeal work done with the insurance company and get it paid- and I dont know any other doctors office that will do that. \r I trust my dentist there, he does great work, and I know the staff will tell me the truth and help me, and you don't get that many places anymore. \r They are also great with my kids and know them by name and love to see them every time we come in! more

Thank you 4/8/2010

It is our highest priority to make sure that our patients receive the finest dental care and feel individually valued. We respond to each concern presented to us. Please know that comments such as these are taken to heart, and it gives us an opportunity to learn, grow, and provide the warm and rewarding experiences that our patients desire. \r We have worked with this gentleman to resolve his concerns, and we are grateful for his candor and feedback. While we deeply regret his dissatisfaction, we respectfully wish the opportunity to state that although the account was seriously in arrears, we did refund his $30 late fee and his $12.75 fee incurred for our letter writing service (not a collection agency). He stated to the BBB that refunding these fees would resolve the matter to his satisfaction. $42.75 was refunded to him on 3/24/10 in an effort to address his concerns. \r If you have questions about our actual billing policy, or anything else about our wonderful and talented doctors, please call 480-792-6880. Thank you.\r Melissa\r Pros: We care about our patients more

Terrible Front office 2/28/2010

I received an invoice for $30 plus a $30 late fee from this office and immediately left a voice message to call me back. NO call back. A week later, I ended up getting in touch via email with the Office Manager, Melissa for an explanation of charge. I then agreed to give her my credit card to pay the original $30 since the late fee was not justified, but she refused and stated it was going to collections. This office is willing to lose 4 patients (my family) with this type of business practice by not accepting my payment. She was the rudest individual to deal with and I have the emails to prove my point. Her closing sentence in her last email to me read.... ""With warmest regards and best wishes for the future,"" This should tell you about the personality I was dealing with. Within days after this encounter I get another statement from her with the $30 late fee AND $12.75 for using the Debt Collector. That same day, the debt collector's mail arrived as well with the same charges. Needless to say, my kids, wife and I will find another dentist. Similar situation on Google reviews about this place from a guy named Tim. Cons: terrible business practices more
