We used Prodigy Moving to move from a high-rise condo in Marina del Rey to a loft in Downtown Los Angeles in January 2011. Ben was the estimator. I found him knowledgeable, responsive and courteous. He provided me with a written estimate. Mody and his crew were our movers. He called on Sunday the day before our move to confirm arrival on Monday morning to prepare items for moving on Tuesday. They were prompt, professional and hardworking. Tuesday went flawlessly with the exception of an $88 parking ticket. While I was annoyed about getting a ticket for Prodigy's truck, I cannot fault Prodigy Moving. The City of Los Angeles / Downtown is not residential move in / move out friendly. Total fees (excluding the ticket) were a little under the estimate. I endorse Prodigy, particularly Mody and his team, and would not hesitate to use the company again for a local move. more

Alex and his team were great! 1/13/2011

We filled out a request for moving quotes online and received 8 or 10 calls back and many emails from moving companies. Out of all the companies I spoke with, Prodigy Moving made a bigger first impression because their representative Billy who really took the time to explain everything I needed to know, and to ask a lot questions about my move and what I needed. I felt he really wanted to make sure I understood everything and boy did I need that lesson because it was all news to me. I did use the information he gave me: I checked not only the rating but also how many years each company was in business and the license/permit number of the moving companies I was considering, I asked for references from movers and compared prices. Prodigy were not the cheapest company I talked too but their price was definitely ok, they were right there in the middle, and had above average credentials based on all the checking I did. I am thrilled to say I made the right call because the crew they sent me worked relentlessly, never stopping for a minute. They treated my furniture as if it were their own. If you want a move with a clear head, no worries, and have things run smoothly, they are the to people call. I would ask for Alex and his team. more

Pain free move 1/12/2011

I just wanted to let people know how happy I am with Prodigy Moving staff. Sean quickly and clearly set up the move and explained all of the details entitled. The four guys who came to pack and load the boxes in Northridge were a joy to work with. They were extremely courteous, friendly, efficient and careful. They explained everything and made sure I knew where small pieces were located. I would definitely recommend Prodigy Moving to a friend. Thanks for a painless move guys. more

Ask for Mody and his team 1/11/2011

Excellent service!! Would without a doubt use them again. This weekend I moved a 1BR from Woodland Hills to Santa Monica. I was nervous because it was my first time using a professional moving company, as opposed to friends/family and a UHaul: I was worried the crew would be taking breaks every 30 minutes on my dime. I was nervous they were sending three guys for what appeared to be a two guy job- but after calling around different companies, 3 men seems to be the standard when needing packing. I recommend them very highly and will definitely use them next time I move. The move was done quickly and professionally. I got a call from Ben the day before the move confirming the details. The next day, Mody and his crew of Mike and Luis called at 830AM saying they were outside. From then on through completion at 1145AM, the process was quick and efficient. All three took barely took any breaks and were always working. Great job guys! I'll definitely use Prodigy Moving for my next move. more

I can't say enough about the great job Prodigy Moving and Storage did when helping us relocate from San Francisco to Woodland Hills. We researched many companies and Martin and his crew managed to make our relocation an easy, even enjoyable experience. Trying to pack, clean and get to the new place with a newborn seemed almost an impossible task, but Prodigy Moving and Storage made it all happen! They were prompt, very helpful, and got us packed and loaded onto the moving truck in plenty of time for us to make our way out. more

What can I say that hasn't been said hundreds of times on all the different review sites already? Prodigy Moving gave me the most painless move of my life, and I’ve moved more than just a few times. From Sean’s initial estimate, to follow up calls and emails, to an extremely professional workforce, to a final bill that was even less than I thought it would be...Prodigy Moving is the best hands down. more

Finally a fast and reliable moving company. 12/16/2010

It took us forever to research the right moving company for our studio city 1bedroom apartment. I'm glad to have done my research, because once I found Prodigy Moving, I knew the average prices and what other companies were including in their standard price. Prodigy Moving was a little more expensive then the average moving company but they knew what they were doing and their customer service was more professional than most. On the moving date, they came 15 minutes early to asses the situation. Even though we knew it would be a tough move, they seemed to go about their actions as if it were day-to-day. With a smile, the movers carefully helped pack loose bags, wrapped up the couch, rug, and TV, had plenty of extra wardrobe boxes available, and managed to do what I thought was going to be four hours of work in nearly two hours. Upon arrival to our new apartment, Prodigy Moving movers were there right after us ready to diligently unload their truck. Unwrapping couches, TVs, boxes, and wardrobe boxes seemed to take a quarter of the time it took to load. Everything arrived safely, without a scratch, and effortlessly. We were very happy with Prodigy Moving and would recommend them to anyone looking for a quality moving company. more

My go-to guys 12/9/2010

These guys are as good as it gets! So good, that I felt inspired to post my first review because of it. Yesterday was the second time I hired Prodigy Moving for a move, and it won't be the last. They arrived at my door bright and early and worked diligently until my move was over. Even though the temperature was ridiculous, these guys showed some SERIOUS hustle, completing my move in far less time than they had initially estimated. Not only did they work quickly, they worked efficiently and handled my things with an amazing level of care. The Prodigy crew led by Danny was courteous and professional. Manners may not be on your list of "must-haves" when looking for movers, but Prodigy's got them and believe me - it's a nice touch. You normally wouldn't expect to see such a good natured moving crew in such hot weather, but that's why I will keep hiring them -- they consistently deliver above and beyond my expectations. And the icing on the cake? They ended up completing my move way faster than they had quoted. Good form! I'm proud to say I consider these guys my go-to moving service. I'd recommend them to a friend without hesitation. more

Great company 12/7/2010

Martin and his crew are amazing! They took the stress of my move off my shoulders. All I had to do was tell them where I wanted them to put my stuff at. They were friendly, efficient, hard working, and actually pretty funny. If the time comes where I need to move or a friend needs to move, I will use or recommend them in a heart beat. Excellent Service 11/30/2010

From start to finish these guys were on point and knew what they were doing. Mody, Edwin, and Mike were terrific. They arrived on time, were friendly, quick, and efficient. The guys were very professional and easy to work with. One of the best moving experiences I have had, and I've been through my fair share of bad moves. I highly recommend for frequent movers. Totally awesome 11/24/2010

We have a lot of stuff, including a lot of furniture, and Prodigy's three man crew handled it all quickly and carefully. We moved from a second floor apartment to a house, and I was really surprised at how deftly they moved everything out, including disassembling furniture when required (and reassembling at the new place). more

Best movers ever used 11/19/2010

I just completed my second move with Prodigy Moving and they are a pleasure to work with. Everyone I interacted with was polite, efficient and great to work with. The cost was really reasonable and nothing was broken or lost , which is always a treat! I have recommended Prodigy Moving to anyone I know who is moving and will use them again in the future. They make moving as pleasant as possible. more

Good movers that did a very good job for me. my move was from Northridge to Los Angeles. The movers showed up on time and also finished on time which was really important cause we had the elevators scheduled at both buildings. I like the fact the movers did not waste any time they new we had a time limit and they work hard to meet the dead line for me for that I want to say thanks. more

Red Carpeted all the Way! 11/15/2010

I was moving furniture and personal goods from my father's home into a Care Home. The los angeles movers came on time, moved everything very quickly and safely. When I met them at the Care Home they were great. Moved everything in very quickly and even helped me decide where the furniture was going to go. Nothing was too much trouble. They were courteous, hardworking and extremely helpful. I would recommend them to anyone. more

Affordable and Reliable Mover 11/14/2010

I used Prodigy Movers to move me into my new house in Pasadena CA and I was so impressed. The movers that came to my house did an excellent job and the people in the office were very professional. I would use them again for sure. Anyone looking to move should call them. They are very affordable and I will recommend them to anyone that is moving. more

I'm giving camel moving 5 stars because I personally had a good experience with them. I needed to move quite a long ways, and all of my items were transported safely. I was a little worried about some of the more fragile things I have, but everything went well! Highly recommended.? more

Great Service Company 11/9/2010

Was looking for movers in Calabasas and got these guys out of the yellow pages. immediately answer my call and provided an hourly rate, i was little cautious about it and the sales person insured me that his guys are coming to work and will do it asap. the guys showed up moved very quickly and finished the whole job in less than 8 hours which is pretty normal for a 3 bedroom home. ended up paying around $850 and there was no damage as they wrap everything. ask for martin as your mover if possible. more
