I had a horrible experience with this business. I was referred to this guy from a friend. Had spoken to the business owner, Mike, extensively and in detail and agreed to move forward with him as my new tax accountant. He asked me to submit the relevant paperwork so we could proceed.\r

I was following up with a simple tax question and sent several emails and phone calls over the course of a few days. Was my usu. cordial and kind self. Time was of the essence in meeting the April 15 deadline. No response.\r

I followed up today by phone, and his gatekeeper, Sue, was very rude. She was talking down to me, not willing to relay a message, and even questioning my right to call. Her demeanor was provoking, and absolutely uncalled for, and I ended up asking her not to talk to me in such a manner, and had to hang up. The owner then, (suddenly having time to call me!!) rang me and stated to never call there again. Not sure what the gatekeeper said, but obviously he was siding with her, with complete disregard for how his new client had just been treated by her. \r

I would expect a professional business to treat their clients with decency and respect, as well as be somewhat responsive. So I was very surprised and disappointed that a business owner would suddenly turn on his new clients in this rather Jekel and Hyde manner. Sure people get stressed at tax time but it's no excuse to abuse your position as owner in a company. I found this very unprofessional and obtuse, to say the most. \r
\r
I feel uncomfortable that he now has my personal information I had sent him. I did email him asking him to destroy any of my personal information. But the bizarre behavior and attitude of the company has left me feeling uneasy.\r

My honest advice? Get a great professional who will honor a quality and STABLE relationship with you and who is reliable and respectful. The good ones will give you their cell numbers, as you will have a trusting and mature relationship. REFUSE GATEKEEPERS! Accept no less.
