Our family would like to share our wonderful experiences at Primrose Of Castle Hills with all potential family's out there looking for top notch accredited childcare. Not only does Primrose of Castle Hills have amazing teachers, assistants and understanding staff, they truly care about your individual child and family. Our son attended Primrose of Castle Hills from ages 1-6 where he just graduated from Kindergarten. I can not brag enough on his Kindergarten teacher Mrs. Whitt, assistant teacher Ms. Nugyen and their assistants. We are so proud of our son's academic accomplishment and how prepared he is entering the 1st grade because of the wonderful foundation Primrose of Castle Hills has given him. We have enjoyed being at Primrose of Castle Hills so much so that we now have our younger child age 2 attending as well. As a parent you always want to ensure you are making the right decisions for your children. Our family knows we made the best choice when selecting Primrose of Castle Hills for our children.\r \r Best,\r Christine M. more

My daughter has been attending Primrose of Castle Hills for a litle over a year now (she is now 3 1/2 yrs old.) She absolutely loves it and is learning so much! It has made my first entry back into the workforce a very smooth transition! The staff is so friendly and caring. I feel like they are family! :) more

Happy at Primrose CH! 6/29/2011

We have two boys (5? and 2?) at Primrose of Castle Hills who have both attended since they were infants. The older just graduated from the Private Kindergarten class, and the younger is in the Preschool 1 class. Our younger son has had many of the same teachers as his brother, and I feel they have all really gotten to know us as well as our kids. Each class has had a good balance of` nurturing and educational care. Mrs. Braun is an incredibly compassionate director who genuinely cares for each child and family in the school. She regularly shares stories of impressive or funny things she has seen our boys doing throughout the day. The staff often emails me photos of my boys enjoying the day?s activities. It definitely makes the work day away from them easier. The Private Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Whitt, gives individual attention to each child, assessing their needs academically and socially. She works well with kids that excel easily and those that need extra help, without ignoring the ones in the middle. We have been really pleased with Primrose of Castle Hills, and our boys are very happy there. more

5 1/2 Years and Counting! 6/10/2011

Our 6 year-old son has been at Primrose of Castle Hills since he was one. He's always been a bright and gregarious child (but doesn't every parent think that about their kiddo?) - but the wonderful staff at Primrose validated us, which we appreciated. They didn't try to stifle our son by making him conform to a ""one size fits all"" curriculum. Instead, his teachers gave him extra tasks and assignments because they were insightful enough to realize that his high energy may be due to a lack of being challenged. His kindergarten teacher - Mrs. Whitt - was wonderful. She encouraged us to test our son once he entered public school. So we did and just heard he was accepted into the Gifted Program. My husband and I believe it's 2% due to our genes, and 98% due to the nurturing and education he received at Primrose of Castle Hills. more

Best of the Best!! Worth every dollar! 6/6/2011

I can not begin to tell you how much my wife and I love Primrose Castle Hills. When we had our son in Feb of 2010 we visited 5 schools before Primrose. From the moment we set foot in the door everything just felt perfect. Every teacher that has cared for our son has been truely amazing. He has learned so much and each one cares for him as if he were their own. more

Apart of the Primrose family since 2003 5/16/2011

I visited 8 places before deciding to choose Primrose. I had toured several others and I just kept making my way back to Primrose (touring around 5 times). more

Worth the extra money 2/15/2011

We couldn't be happier with the care and education our daughter has been receiving. We've been here for almost three years. Our daughter is excited to go to school in the morning. I have ""dropped by"" on several occasions, and she is always well-looked after, engaged, and learning. The teachers there truly care about the students and work to partner wil the parents regarding the children's education and discipline. I have been very impressed with how much my child has learned ( a four-year old who can count to 20 in Spanish, 100 in English, name the planets, and sound out words). The staff is courteous & helpful. more

Looks can be deceiving 9/25/2010

If you are looking for child care below the age of 3, I would keep looking. Primrose of Castle Hills does not begin to shine until the preschool classes and up. One of the infant teachers is very sweet, but some of them should have been fired a long time ago. Speaking with other parents, I have learned that not all the infant teachers really care about the children, and that is quite alarming. The cost of this center is astronomical, and it continues to increase. Not only do you pay a pretty penny for the tuition itself, they slam you for registration and supply fees three times a year, all of which are usually above 100 dollars. I will admit that they have some nice amenities and that some of the programs they have throughout the year are nice, but when it comes down to it, you will have to decide if it is all worth it in the end. The director Mrs. Braun is absolutely amazing. Never in all my years of dealing with preschool management have a come across a more competent director. She is very genuine and helpful and I can really tell she cares about the children. However, Mrs. Mccarrel is as fake as they come. She is unhelpful, rude, and talks to all the parents as if they have some sort of mental defect. I'm sorry, but most of the parents are professionals and deserve so much more respect. The woman is just self absorbed and it sends a negative vibe throughout the center. I have even witnessed her treating her employees in the same manner, and that is just bad management. I personally would not want my child around someone so negative. Only you can decide what is fact or fiction when touring this Primrose. If it appeals to you, by all means enroll your child, but just be cautious. more

I would keep my child at Primrose instead of Kids R Kids 10/28/2009

I had my child at Kids R Kids and we went back to Primrose just for the fact that the Primrose center is working on getting back to par. Kids R Kids focuses on money and not their teachers, the children or the parents. When a center will not call the parents when a child is really sick or dis- enroll a child when they continue to do something over and over (all because they do not want to lose the money) that just showed me that my child and I were not really cared for like Kids R Kids told us. We were promised the sun moon and stars by the director Mona and the owners - Gary and Angel, but what we got was lies and the owners and director doing their own thing. My child is more than a money figure - their needs were not being met by the school, teacher or center. I am glad my child and I are back at Primrose, they welcomed us with open arms. I feel for the children, parents and teachers back at Kids R Kids. I regret sending my child there and ever leaving Primrose. Pros: Getting new teachers and improving center Cons: Cost a little more but worth it more

Higher prices for overvowded rooms. 5/12/2009

My son attended Primrose for 5 years, from the infant room to the Explorer room. Tom Chow bought the facility during this time. After the ownership changed the school started to get more crowded, tuition increased, supply fees went from $25-$100 twice a year, registration fees went from $75-$125 twice a year, the food quality diminished, and most of their long term teachers and directors quit. I have hired several current employees of Primrose asbabysitters and have heard how terribly they treat their teachers as well. I just dont understand how they can treat people like that and stay in business. My son is at Kids R Kids now and I am saving an estimated $2000 per year and get the updated facility, flexible owners, and supportive staff. Unlike Primrose, I truly feel that Kids R Kids puts people over profits and supports the community that supports them. Pros: Location is convienient to Castle Hills residents Cons: Your $ is more important than your child. more

Primrose of Castle Hills - Bad News 2/3/2009

We've been very disappointed with this school. The child to teacher ratios in my daughter's class were terrible - just barely enough to meet state requirements some days. With 18 toddlers in a class and only two teachers, it is often pandemonium, and none of the children get enough individual attention. For the fees that they charge, they should be able to staff adequately, but they are very stingy with the staffing. It's not a well-run school, in my opinion. We have pulled our child out. Cons: Too many kids, not enough teachers more

Very Very Good! 8/6/2008

Our first week here has been excellent. We just moved from Virginia into Castle Hills with our two little ones and have been very pleased with everything at this school. It seems parent involvement is high which is always a good sign of a good school. I would highly recommend. more

Primrose of Castle Hills Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! 7/1/2008

Having read the reviews posted here, my husband and I completely agree that Primrose is a great school. Parent involvement is high and it feels like an extended family. Ratios are very important and Primrose is well below the state mandated ratios. Our current teachers have been there over 6 years and our kids are learning. Highly recommended. Pros: children learning and having fun more

Primrose of Castle Hills- huge disappointment! 6/4/2008

My daughter spent 2 years here and every month, it got worse. It become very clear that this is run with more of an attention to profit at the sacrafice to the children. The teacher/child ratio is the worst. I picked my child up countless times with snot covering her face and a diaper rash. With 18 kids and 2 teachers, it is no wonder they didn't have time to pay attention to these sort of things. Teachers drop like flies here and it seems now that they can't even find quality teachers. This was not a nuturing enviornment and it sealed the deal when I picked up my child 2 days after having tubes put in her ears and her teacher had left her sobbing by herself in the corner simply b/c she wanted to take the eyeballs off of her OWN art work. I seriously question the training and quality of their staff. The lack of tenure of their teachers says it all. more

Exceptional Preschool! 2/13/2008

Fantastic school!!! I cannot say enough good things about it. The learning that happens there is amazing! I wish we had started our daughter there early than 3. She was in an inhome daycare. I kept her there too long because that was what I was comfortable with. I am not making the same mistake with my new baby! Pros: clean, great staff, curriculum more

Primrose of Castle Hills is fabulous! 12/6/2007

For a school that is 6 years old with over a hundred children there attending daily, it is amazing how clean the place is! For me, that shows the care the owners and staff take in their job. It is a great place. We are very happy. more

Primrose School of Castle HIlls is wonderful! 10/9/2007

We have really enjoyed our time at the school. They are a head above everyone else in the area. Trust us, we visited them all! more
