Thankyou for Your Nice Spicey Pizza and Clean Place 9/5/2010

All I'm going to say is look carefully at the pizza pie before you start eating to make sure it has what you asked for and not any other materials. It tasted nice to me and the service was impeccable. Lovely waitstaff that is eager to help the elderly. Prices are much lower than other ones we have attended and the ingredients are fresh and tasty and mostly clean. Bathrooms are handicap accessible and all paper containers and so forth were full even the soap dispenser and wash tub. So many times I find they are empty especially the paper rolls. Parking our big Oddsmobile is easy if you have a handicap badge. Walter said it was too spicy but he has some stomach upset problem so the pizza might be tasty and agreeable to you. We did see some flies but they took care of them fast once we mentioned it. Thank you so much for your nice establishment and tasty clean dinner and we will come back again when Walter is able to travel. He has said he enjoyed it so much. You are a very nice establishment. God Bless you for your kindness and efforts. more

Salvatore's Pizzaria and Italian Ristorante 6/22/2010

Excellent tastes and presentation. Chef is from Milan and everything we've tasted (been there 3 times) is fantastic Pros: Like being in Italy again more

We will be back to try them soon.I really enjoyed the sub ,and shared a basket of fries $2.00 !My husband said that his philly steak was great! Fantastic job! Pros: great price! food ,and portions were outstanding more

Salvatore's JackPot!!!!!!! 2/24/2010

I crave something, anything, italian; but do not have to make any decisions. I just walk in, see what chef is working, and have them make me a creation. Every taste is a new, internal creation that you can't get anywhere else. I love it, it's effortless and delicious. My family goes back once a week, at least- WHY COOK, when you can eat Salvatores? Pros: Something New Everyday Cons: JUST got beer and wine more

completely impressed 2/23/2010

The moment i found out that primos was moving locations and another pizzeria was taking its place i was extremely upset. Untill I went to this new salvatores italian ristorante and found that primos moving locations was for the best! The atmosphere was unbeliveable for a family owned business, and the salvatores employees could'nt have been more friendly. I love bringing all my friends and family to try the salvatores experience. Hands down my favorite italian resturant. Pros: beer and wine now available!!!! more

Ya see I am a good cook so my date nights need atmosphere n good food and i can tell good food. Excellent choice my MAN made. Thanks baby!! Pros: GREAT FOR DATE NIGHTS Cons: new more

Authentic Italian Dishes and People 2/18/2010

The food was sooooooo good I tried to tip the chef and he refused. He says would you tip your mom for making the food you love, instead he said just tell anybody and everybody what I thought. Im a man of my word and Salvatore?s pizzeria has the most awesome italian dishes and people. Pros: Good price, great people Cons: You might become addicted. more

Best PHILLY STEAKS 2/18/2010

The sign says philly cheese steaks, I assumed it would be another Virginia style cheese steak knock off, where the bread just didn?t have that philly feel. After devouring the entire hoagie I had to ask where they got there bread because it really was a philly steak . They said the Bronx - go figure they do know what makes a good hoagie. Pros: THE BEST Cons: MAKES ME HUNGRY more

The Best Pizza And Knots Around. 2/18/2010

I took my whole family here and they were all very satisfied. We ordered a 24"" pizza (wow the biggest pizza ever) and 2 dozen knots. The knots were perfect and light( not doughy at all). These people really know what they are doing so I asked to speak to the owner and he came over right away and introduced himself and his family. I love this place and recommend that anyone who wants authentic New York style pizza and the best Italian food around to go to this place. Glad to be part of the SALS Family. Pros: All the food was perfect more

Soggy pizza and poor service 2/13/2010

If I could eat the decor then I would be extremely satisfied, but never the less I go out to eat for the food. The atmoshpere always helps but you can only go so far when the food is so bad. I expected a lot more for a restaurant with this much history. The owner must never be there because the employees in that place do not want to be there and could care less about the food they are making or the customers they are pretending to serve. I do not recommend this place to anyone. There are so many more places that I would rather eat. Two thumbs down. Cons: pretty much everything except the new decor more

GLAD PRIMOS IS GONE 2/10/2010

I know that they moved , but what I am talking about is the reason that we stood behind Primos for so long. They have continually let us down with poor service and overpriced food. The kids they have in there making the food have no idea what real Italian food is or how to make a quality pie. So after years of unquestioned loyalty we tried Salvatores Pizzeria (the place that took over their old location) and their food is better and more authentic than Primos ever was. They now have our business and everyone that we know because sometimes a change is necessary and justified.? Pros: Good food more

Salvatore's Knocks Primo's Pants OFF 1/22/2010

Salvatore's moved in to their old location and let me tell you there food is amazing and costs 50% less.Everything about Primos has declined except for their prices. If you like paying high dollar for poor food then Primos is the right spot. Salvatore's Knocks Primos pants off. Food is twice as good and half the price. ENOUGH SAID. Pros: Great Food more

Best Pizza in VB 2/28/2009

We have 5 kids and that's a good reason to eat pizza..it's cheap and everybody loves it. PRIMO's pizza is great! Fresh dough, fresh ingredients and oven fresh! I've had authentic Italian food in Jersey many times. Primo's reminds me of eating up north. Glad to see you're in the Redmill SC! Pros: Good, fresh food Cons: Get's a bit crowded on weekend nights, seating and service may lack at those times. more

Not good food @ Primo's 2/22/2009

This is the first time I've written a review but I want to let people know that Primo is not that great! Don't get me wrong, the pizza was ok but we've had 4 bad experiences with this place and we've only ordered 5 times!! That's not a good average! more

Untouchable! 8/2/2008

WOW! Finding Primo's Pizza was a great discovery for my family and I. I grew up on Staten Island and know first hand what good pizza is supposed to taste like. I have lived in Hampton Roads for 10 years now and have not came close to finding Italian food as good as Primo's. The pizza is huge and is JUST LIKE NY PIZZA. Fresh basil, crispy crust; untouchable. Comparing Primo's with any other Italian food restaurant in Hampton Roads would be a sin. The service was fast and efficient and was also kid friendly. It's a place I would feel comfortable going on a date with my wife or out with my children. Wonderful job Primos. Pros: Large portions, great price Cons: If you are counting calories bring a calculator! more

Horrid customer service 6/27/2008

Ordered lunch for office at 10:45 (3 lrg pizza and 3 salads) - not delivered until 12:45 after 2 phone calls and promised delivery in 30-40 minutes. Owner just wanted to argue and could have cared less about our office. Food is good but not worth the abuse by the owner. Pros: Decent pizza and fresh salad ingredients Cons: Customer service is aweful, not honest with delivery times more

EXCELLENT PIZZA!!!! 3/12/2008

Having moved around a ton due to the military, I have to fly home to get good pizza. So I haven't had a decent slice in 5 years! Primo Pizza has truly the best in Hampton Roads! The garlic knots are to die for, soooo buttery and garlicky. Mmmmmm.....The pizza is great; much like New York pizza....kinda flappy and a little greasy but in a good cheesy-type way...The other food is wonderful too, I hear, but we love the pizza so much, we'll drive all the way from Great Neck area to get it! One bad thing though, is that the restaurant itself is small, so wait time is pretty long. But man, is it worth it if you have the time! Pros: Big parking lot! Easy to find, cute decor inside Cons: Tiny restaurant, long wait time more

GREAT GREAT GREAT....Got to try it. 1/24/2008

Go here all the time. For just pizza or a great Italian meal. You know as well as I do...you can't find good Italian food around here...or the cost is outragous. Go here...you will fall in love with this place. Pros: Great food, great price, great people Cons: Not so great on the parking more

Pretty Darn Good! 4/22/2007

Had to drive a ways to find Primo's as the local places in Downtown Norfolk are closed on Sundays. Once we arrived, I had a few fears when I saw it was in a strip mall, but the outside was nicely decorated. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into the ""restaurant"" section (vs. the take out side) - the colors were neutral and soothing and the lighting appropriate. We had to ask if we should seat ourselves (we did) as no one approached us to guide us, but to be fair the restaurant was packed and there were only two waitresses. We had to wait to be attended to, but the waitress apologized for the wait and was attentive for the rest of our visit. Her service was friendly, expeditious and efficient. We ordered a half-dozen garlic ""knots"" and a pizza well done, and it came back anything but. We sent it back but it was returned still too underdone for my taste, but we took it. They advertise a thin crust, but it's really a hand-tossed depth. They go a bit light on the pepperoni - I had only one piece of pepperoni per slice, but my dining companion had two or three per slice (one side was heavier than the other). The garlic knots were the best I've ever had and the sodas were sparkling and cold. We gave the soda a 10 out of 10, the garlic knots a 10 out of 10 and the pizza a 5 out of 10. My friend took Cannoli's home and said they were good, too. I'm going to keep looking a thinner crust pizza, but I'd go back there again and try some of their other dishes. A solid 8! Pros: Ambience, Service more

Best Pizza in Tidewater-Hands Down! 6/21/2006

Primo Pizza by far is the best pizza in town. There is not another pizza that even comes close. The only down fall is that the delivery time is way to long. 1 hour to 2 hours in time. Worth the wait, but still to long for delivery. Pros: Rate a High 10-Sauce is a 10, Crust is a 10 overall a 10 Cons: They take way to long on Delivery. Some times 2 hours! more
