Underappreciated Outlet Mall 7/14/2005

Prime Outlet Mall has been hard hit by the opening of other malls in the Triangle area. The stores that still exist at Prime Outlet are very nice and offer good deals on their merchandise. Saks Off 5th, Samsonite and Nine West are some of the better stores that stay the busiest. The food court has dwindled in the number of options but the ones that remain are very good and the food court is usually very busy during the lunch hour. A new section has opened that resembles an open air market. The mall is incredibly clean and it has a very welcoming atmosphere. more

    As the only factory outlet mall in the Triangle, Prime Outlets could be quite a hit if it were closer to the residential areas of Raleigh or Durham. Instead, the mall sits in the heart of the airport area and is more convenient for an RTP lunch-break pitstop than for Saturday morning shopping sprees. The good news, however, is that this mall remains a shopper's best secret: It's less crowded, offers a wonderfully open floor plan and even has unique hardwood floors.
