I have 10 hours on the books with Prestige from a few years back. Girlfriend bought me an $89 Living Social deal for fun in Oct, 2010. Deal expired 4/4/11, so I called 4/2/11 and left 2 VMs, but received no call back. Called again after expiration when Jan (co-owner) was in and got a totally unnecessary beratement for 15 minutes about being a procrastinator! SERIOUSLY? They took my money and wouldn't honor the deal, even though I did call within the timeframe of the deal’s validity (learn how to return calls, guys). Obviously, nobody tought these people how to respect their fellow humanity, and they have a very bad reputation of being difficult to deal with on more than one level, including how they financially treat their instructors who help sell their helicopters to students. I had similar problems with them when I was flying regularly, such as double-charging my credit card and taking 2 months to credit the redundant charge, mis-managing scheduling (I got bumped on 2 occasions, whereas I showed up, only to find there was no scheduled lesson), and other minor service-related things that left me scratching my head. Overall, the instructors I worked with were top-notch (I’ve flown with 3, all of which were excellent), and their birds are well maintained. However, the owners are complete scheisters with holier-than-thou attitudes, so I must give Prestige as a company a disgraceful rating. CAVEAT EMPTOR!
